The Massachusetts senator says the proposal unveiled Monday would eliminate almost all student loan debt for 42 million Americans, canceling $50,000 in debt for each person with household income under $100,000. Warren says the debt cancellation proposal would create a one-time cost to the federal government of $640 billion. |

Can we add auto loan debt forgiveness in there too, cause im sick of paying my truck payment. Kthx

Among Warren's other proposals is elimination of tuition and fees for two- and four-year public college degree programs, as well as a $100 billion investment in Pell Grants, a federal aid program that requires no payback. View Quote |

Whole lot of nope. I want to see leftist fuckheads with their $100,000 underwater basket weaving degrees financially crushed for the rest of their lives as a reminder as to how poor of decisions they make on a daily basis.

I say anybody who is for it are the ones who have to pay for it too.
Freaking crazy lady will do anything for attention and a vote. |
Except that wipe-out student debt will be replaced with debt from cars, mortgages, personal loans, etc. What's to stop them from going into debt again?
So are we going to give the former students who worked, and paid for their school $50K each?
quick, can you take out a Half million in loans for a PhD? Asking for a friend.
This crap is gonna draw in a LOT of young and broke Dem voters in 2020. and that isn't good.
Throw in "reparations," and the mob will really be champing at the bit to take the helm. |

Do people like my wife who lived well within their means to rapidly pay off education debt have a chance to get in on this great giveaway?
Fucking hate this broad. |
I scrimped and saved for twenty fucking years so my daughter could have a debt free college education. That fake Indian bitch can kiss my hairy white ass.

Mortgage forgiveness now!
I want a free house! Housing is a human right! |

Typical. If you actually make enough to pay taxes you are exempt from what they are spent on.

I would rather build a $640 billion WALL first.
Get the government OUT of student loans and make the colleges loan/finance the students so they have a vested interest in student success. |
Everyone in my family went to college on their own dime. We all spent our 20s paying back our student loans by working in the fields our degrees were for.
It honestly wasn't that big of a deal. |
Think of how much of that money would go to the Democrat party via union dues..
Do those who’ve paid off their student loans get a refund of what they paid? I’m guessing not. Thanks for being responsible and paying off what you owe ..... SUCKER!
Pell grants actually require certain GPA targets to be met in order to qualify.
This other stuff is just pandering. My wife and I paid for our school and recently got even on student loans. People should pay what they owe. |

I think a more realistic approach would be a government program to allow consolidatation of all existing student loan debts into a 0% loan. Discharging/forgiving the interest of existing loans is a lot more reasonable.
The new consolidated loan would be federal and not dischargable under bankrupcy. Any missed or partial payments incur a %APR penalty on the remaining balance. A long period without missed or partial payments can reduce the %APR penalties back to 0%. Furthermore, the bill should limit tuition rate increases for any university that acccepts federal subsidies and student grants. The rate of tuition inflation is absurd. Finally, something should be in there to encourage the use of vocational and trade schools. I’ll bet 75% of the people with degrees don’t actually need them to do their jobs. They would have been money ahead with no loan debt and 6 months of on the job training. Imagine putting all those student loan payments into a 401k that early in your career instead of paying back banks... you’d have $100,000’s more when you retire. |

There is no short term consequences for the government to keep running up debt.
And this goes for Trump and Co as well as Dems. |
Well, what the fuck we're already 22 or 23 trillion in debt. What's another half trillion added in?
Narrative needs to be changed into "Hey kids, do you mind paying 80% of your wages to the government to fight school debt, globull warming and other social bullshit"? |
It's not like she has a snowball's chance but the fact that this shit can be reported on as a rational thought is troubling.
Great idea, now they can rack up new debt on cars and vacations they can't afford.
I better get back to Skool and get that doctorate I've always wanted in history!!!!
