There was a report in the CRPA monthly rag back in Feb 2002 IIRC, that indicated if you remove Black crime, the US has a lower crime rate than Europe.

Well that is just wrong… US OVERALL CRIME RATES ARE LOWER THAN ENGLAND’S PERIOD.
WITH Black crime and all other sources included US violent crime rates are lower than England, which currently has the highest rate in the world.
England passed the US about 1995 and has had increasing violent crime rate while the US rates have declined. The only categories the US is higher in than most European countries are rape (sightly), and homicide, but…
The Europeans do not count suicides as homicides the US does count suicides as homicides; suicide rates in Europe are 2-4 times US rates so that number is not as different as most believe it to be.
Property crime rates in Europe are very much higher than US rates.
Rudolph Giuliani was recently hired as a consultant in England to try and help them get a hand on the problem.
