My 16-year old son just asked me if he could print something out.
"Of course!" So he did, and it turned out he was printing out a letter to his principle outing some kids in his class for using vape pens that contain THC. Personally, I say they deserve it for vaping at all, but I'm not sure how to proceed, as I don't want my kid to get "a reputation" seeing as how we are in a small town and he has two more years of school after this.... |

Is it anonymous, or does he want his ass kicked?
Everyone knew who smoked cigarettes, drank, and smoked pot in my school. No one gave a shit. |
|
...Tell him to mind his own business. Why does he give a shit?

|
Maybe he can play Junior G-man for the ATF next week and turn in everybody who didn't destroy their bumpstocks
|
|
"Not your monkeys and not your circus, son".
At best (and I wouldn't even do this, personally) he might send the letter anonymously. But man, there is a non-zero chance those inquisitive kids are going to figure out who dimed them out. |

Your son means well but he will likely try to create joinder with the rest of us in 15 years time after shooting a pitbull.

He’s 16, he should have this kind of thing figured out by now. Let him do it, so that he can learn the hard way. That’s the only thing that will actually help him, at this point.

First teach him about “pick my pocket or break my leg”.
Secondly teach him about never putting sensitive or incriminating information in writing, neither electronic nor pen. Third, never ever invite the man into your life. |
|
I bet he already told one of his friends , girlfriend , someone that's he's going to do this .
So if he thinks it's going to be a secret it won't be. His next couple of years are going to be tough . I would tell him don't do it. |

Let him do it then drop the dime on him to the vapers. A valuable, life long lesson on the many benefits of minding ones own business will almost certainly be learned and will hopefully cure him of that do gooder, “I’m helping” attitude that needs a swift correction.

Lol even my 4 and 5 yo know not to narc, I've put my son (the 4yo) in time out because of something his sister (the 5yo) did, I knew he didn't do it but he was willing to take the rap for it

Just ask him if he is ready to face the consequences of his actions and explain those consequences if he doesn't know them.
Under NO circumstance should you allow him to seriously harmed for standing up to what he feels is his convictions (regardless how nosy-rosie it is). Might want to teach him to fight if you haven't already. |

Why the fuck does he care? Tell him to go chase pussy or study more.

Your 16 year old kid has to ask you if it is OK to print something?
You read what your 16 year old kid is printing? Wop-wop-wop = helicopter parent |
|
Sounds jealous because he’s stuck with plain old pot he can’t smoke at school.
|
|
So when should you narc? Should you narc when drug dealers enter your neighborhood? When you see someone breaking into your neighbors house?

Man thats depressing, because snitches/narc's/tattle tales are pretty much the scum of the earth.
I'd absolutely have a long talk with him. |
|
|
I would tell him to MYOB if I were you. He'll get a name as a Narc, and it will follow him to college if anyone he knows now goes to the same school. Nobody likes a narc.
