NO. That is illegal.
Why would you want to break the law? I don't have a problem with it, but I never drank until I was 21 |
|
12. Stole my dad's whiskey.
At 13 I did a beer run. 24 pack too. |
|
Drinking age used to be 18. I guess I was 14 first time I had a drink.
Most friends we have with kids since 1990 had to deal with underage drinking arrests, typically around age 20. |
|
Apparently I would steal a beer from people when they weren’t looking and go hide somewhere to drink it when I was a toddler.

I have never been intoxicated. I tried alcohol as a teenager and just found the taste and smell too revolting so I never had more than sips to confirm I didn't want it. I guess it's the equivalent of "but I didn't inhale" other than swallowing negligible amounts a few times. I've no desire at all to have any as an adult, though my SO is a social drinker.

Every chance I got. The best years of my life. View Quote I remember a particular summer. I think I was 16 or 17, I knew I had my own car. We were at the gas station early one morning...maybe 9 or 10am. Picking up some snacks and a pack of smokes (yes, did those too). Watched a worker carry a case of Budweiser to the dumpster and slowly drop it in. Friend came out of the store...I slowly drove around to the dumpster. He hoped out, grabbed the case, and we took off. Beer was 'expired' by a month, so they got rid of it. We had a good day. This was not my first drinking experience by any means...but free beer is free beer |

Ibopahjhhfb (In before original poster admits he's just had his first beer)

No I didn't.
But then when I was in high school the drinking age was 18 - the 18 drinking age was a total failure in MN kids showing up for school totally wasted drunk. And in fact, the first time I ever got 'drunk' was age 21. |

I did. I also played jarts, skitched in the winter and "gasp" would lay in the back window of my parents car on road trips.... Survived them all...

Do hot toddies count? Because I had those when "sick" as a kid.
If so, I started drinking before I was 2. |

sort of a right of passage, yes?
so.. during the summers, i think i was 14, we'd camp out in the woods back of some guys house where he'd sorta built a cabin. so, what to do for acohol? raid parents liquor cabinet, the point being obtaining ethanol, so i poured some of everything they had, so as to not get caught.. bourbon, gin , vodka, vermouth, scotch and a few others i cant remember. now, i knew this would taste terrible. i had a pint ball jar of this stuff. and i wanted to get the effects.. so, i had a quart of water. i'd gulp down about a third of the jar, chase it with water to kill the taste and the burn, then another third, then another third. drank that pint jar in about 3 minutes. wasnt long after it hit me and i mean hit me. one second im sober, the next second im in a sort of dream world. i did not pass out. i cant remember if i threw up or not. but the next day, we were all terribly hung over. i've probably been 'drunk' maybe five times in my life. always gives me a horrible sick headache. i havent been drunk prolly in 30 or more years. i do like a nice scotch or beer at the end of the day but i have to watch it as it will give me a migraine. |

I recal drinking wine at thanksgiving or Christmas at a family function. Everyone had to drink it.
|
|
I used to bartend at family get togethers starting about age 12, so...

Drank more from age 15-21 than I have from 21-40 View Quote I used to drink 10-20, wake up, puke, eat some bacon and eggs, then be 100%. Not anymore..... now the whole next day is wasted feeling like garbage. |

Yes.
I don't drink now since my body doesn't metabolize alcohol. |
|
Fuuuuck.
I was a binge drinking alcoholic by the time I was 15 |

dad stuck me on a construction job for the first time at 15. It was a Friday, the guys had been paid. I was sent across the street to buy the beers because we had all the steel finished on the deck. I objected to going across seeing that I was only 15. The foreman chewed me out for balking. He told me as sweaty, dirty, big, and ugly as I was no one would object or even question how old I was. He was right. I got back on the deck and was offered a beer. Old man showed up and didn't object to my drinking a beer. He did tell me to brush my teeth when we got home before my mother could find out that I'd been drinking.

In the 1970s, my dad drove me to the liquor store to buy a couple cases of beer for a family reunion—I was like 12 & never got carded or any grief from the salesman.
Fucked up through the retrospectascope, but I have no doubt other kids my age bought & drank. |
|
No that would be wrong.....
I've been drunk in a country where I didn't speak the language before I was 18 wandering the streets at night. I think all of my friends had booze before we were 18, let alone 21. |

Somewhere on this hard drive I have a picture of me drinking a Coors at age 11.
Can't seem to find it ATM though. |
|
|
I'm well past the legal age.
I still haven't and have no intention of ever drinking alcohol. |
|
Had a older chick take me out a few times.
First drink was Jack. Straight. She had nice boobies. |

Yes.
Family tradition at all holiday dinners , I was 5 or 6 when I had my first glass of wine. European background so that probably has a lot to do with it. |
