  Sat night @ 10:06, baby girl, 6 pounds 10 oz, was a birth for the record books....my wife's water broke at 9:25, I called my parents to come over and watch our son who was in bed, they arrived at 9:40...I left and made it to the hospital in 14 minutes (26 miles away)....got my wife unloaded and upstairs to labor and delivery...she laid down...we pulled off her pants...the other nurses were getting things ready...and out pops the kid all on her own....you could have heard a pin drop...then all hell broke loose. Everyone in that room got real busy really quick...but things calmed down after they assessed her and made sure things were OK. If we had been a couple of minutes later she would have delivered in the car. She was 4 weeks early, but very healthy. My wife had problems with preterm labor and we are very thankful to have gotten her to 36 weeks. Now the fun begins once again....  |

Aren't grandparents nice? to come over and watch the oldest one. My oldest son was broke his water when I was on the freeway, and his head started to emerge when I got to the hospital. He came that close to being delivered on the freeway. My wife was upset also that I missed the driveway for the emergency entrance to the hospital and had to go down the block and come back. I dropped my wife off at the emergency entrance with my parents, when I got to the hospital room, my son was already born. |

My son, who was DUE last week, was born TWELVE weeks ago (at 29 weeks!) - but he's healthy and beautiful and I know how you feel. I'm glad y'all made it to 36 weeks and everybody is doing well. Be sure to get an AR into her hands as soon as she is ready!... [:D] |
