I like Remy-Martin, Hennessey os passable, and so is Couvoisier.
Is this Alize any good, or should I just palm it off to a certain alcoholic relative come Christmas?

Funny you should ask... I'm not normally a Cognac drinker - but I'm out of Cabernet, Gin, and Stout, so I'm sipping a bit of Courvoisier that I keep for guests who drink this stuff! Another aquired taste!!!!!

I love Cognac. Definately something I tend to drink in cooler weather and if it is less than $20 a bottle it is usually swill.
Remy and Courvosier are good. Don't know anything abouty Alize (ali-zay) but my wife, who used to be a wine merchant says it is WONDERFULL!

Brandy=cognac that is made outside of France. Same stuff. It's wine that has been passed through a still.
You'd be surprised how good of a brandy that you can make out of Mad Dog.Fruity and packing a PUNCH!

Drank Cognac once. Got sick as hell. I have been better off from MD 20/20 Gibleys vodka or Kessler.
