I mean a red hot thread with posts come in left and right. Your reading all the posts, trying to keep up. By the time you read page 1 there are four new pages. So you skim through them. Go the page 4 and make what you think is a clever posting, hit the submit button and the F5 F5 F5 waiting to see the response...................and nothing happens. The thread just sits there for hours, sometimes days.
And you wonder if your a thread killer

Sure. Most hot threads are hot because people are speculating, throwing out " what ifs " and various other fantasy situations that never actually were related to what was originally posted. They die because someone throws out a simple fact based reality and no one is interested in it anymore.

Almost every thread I post in. If I'm lucky, there's two or three posts after me, but typically I can take the hottest topic on arfcom and kill it in one post
