Not being defeatist I just know as many point out the minority party makes gains when the majority party is in charge.
I'm not digging this frothing madness the left has right now . I'll still do my part but I would like to know how the rest of you feel? |
|
Has the House done much to help other than tax reform?
If it flips, they will spend their time trying to impeach or do some other ridiculousness that might bring the electorate out again in 2020 to keep the train rolling. |
|
The left is vehemently motivated. I'm not saying they will crush us but I guarantee if we get complacent and do not motivate people to get to the polls that the results will be disappointing.

In 2016 I was certain Hillary was going to win and win big. I'm talking Reagan-Mondale level landslide victory. I half expected her to take all 50 states.
In 2018 my thinking is almost the opposite. I don't think anyone that matters fully realizes how big the silent majority really is, or how much they dislike the Democrats right now. If the Dems take the House, I'll be surprised. If they take the Senate, I'll be shocked. If Trumps fails to win in 2020, I'll know once and for all that I have no idea what the hell is going on in America. |
|
the don will mount a full force American cavalcade will a series of rallies that will rival 2016
while victory is not assured at least there feels like a fighting chance to beat historical trends time will tell |
|
What blows my mind is that the GOP has done nothing to combat voter fraud. Will all the evidence we had in 2016 you'd think it would have been a top priority after Trump took office.

Proving to you a blue wave might be coming. First time ever voting Democrat on a midterm election... I am sick and tired of Trump's BS. His tax cuts for the rich and tariffs are not working.... Too much stupidity from this admin to state.

Companys need to start spreading the wealth that there getting in the form of tax breaks
if people don't get a pay raise that is badly needed since wages have flat lined since 2008 and groceries, travel, have all gone up in price , people will feel disillusioned with the whole process insuring the republicans lose the house and senate come November . |

I'll vote like always. In reality when Nov 7 rolls around it won't make a bit of difference to me who wins. My ass will still get out of bed and
keep on living my life just like I have for the last 50 years |

That being said the govt. is spending plenty of $$$ where they shouldn't. |

@Harv24
You have a double post above that looks like you agree with the democrat. Just a heads up before you get dogpiled. |

The good news is that the Dems don't really have any message other than Trump bashing. For the first time in my adult life, they really have no message at all. Since Trump isn't running, they don't have much to vote against. Yes, the primaries are getting a lot of attention for the Dems, but the people who vote in primaries arent numerous enough to change the election.
The bad news is that the Republicans haven't done much to motivate voters either. Too many worked against the President despite the fact that they know he is popular to the base. I can imagine a low-voter turnout scenario where the Dems gain seats. I can't think of much of a reason why either party would turn out in great numbers. |

I'm working to get hard right Republican Kris Kobach elected Governor of Kansas and the
other Republicans running. Donating time and money. Talking to people to get them to vote. Winning takes effort. Conservatives need to put some effort into driving the Left back. Instead of hoping someone else does it you need to do it. Talk to your family, friends, co-workers and get them out on election day voting for the right candidate. Remind them to get out and vote. Every vote counts. I got 8 people out to vote during the primary and Kobach beat the sitting Governor. Take a look at how close the results were in my county.....every vote IS important... Conservatives are horribly complacent.
Election day is the only time I like social security because it’s the only time in the last two years the boomers get out of their easy chair and make themselves useful |

I feel a lot better about it now than I did in January. The dems have been showing their ass in public all year.

Minnesota Primary results showed how complacent Republican voters can be.
A little over 300,000 Republican voters turned out compared to the 500,000 plus Dem voters that showed up at the polls. November is gonna be dicey. ETA: As my wife said, a lot were working so others didn't have to. |
