Robin Hanson proposed legally codified crimespeech to protect freedom of expression. If people couldn't be censored without going through a trial first, there would be less censorship.

I don't know what the line between formal and informal power is, but natural monopolies' relationship to government make it clearer.

liveleak and vimeo have a very small percentage of the reach that youtube (Google), facebook, and spotify have.

Private companies yes, but these private companies are the first of there kind in world history and have a monopoly in the sectors they operate in. They are the most used platforms in the world for disseminating information, placing advertisements, making content and publishing it etc..

Censoring on youtube/facebook means that you are essentially censored in general.
