Would you support such a deal.
No voting until 25. You can still be gifted guns by family from 18-25, but you can't purchase one on your own. |
No
No just no but fuck no. Wait, aren’t you the self admitted troll? |
Wtf
Just say no There doesn't need to be a compromise Stop compromising your rights away |
if we are going to start rewriting laws on when a person becomes a legal adult it better translate into everything else like voting, drinking, enlisting, gambling etc.
not saying that I agree with raising age requirements, just saying you should not be able to make life altering decisions like join the military, or decisions that effect other people like voting, but can't own a fucking gun. |

The stupid in GD has reached neutron-star levels that threaten to collapse the entire series of tubes that is teh intarwebz...
Whomever voted yes, you should come in and give us your reasoning.

When Davy Crockett was 12 he traveled home 400 miles alone after working off one of his father's debts.
Now we think we can't trust young people to own a gun or vote before the age of 25. |
No voting while you're someone else's' dependent. This includes recipients of federal social programs like welfare and Medicaid.
No compromising on Rights! I think that media should stop reporting on this stuff as it exacerbates the situation and glorifies the criminals, but I don't think that the 1st amendment needs to be compromised. It should be an ethical decision. |
No, you can still die in some shithole while wearing a uniform at 18. No need to compromise...
Are we changing the age of majority to 25?
One of the problems will be criminal prosecutions if 18-24 year olds are still considered minors. Age of Majority is Age of Majority is all things. |

How about lowering the age of handgun purchases to 18 and making it so only property owners and those who make a certain amount of money a year can vote.
Did not vote.
Most kids today under 21 are idiots. I would estimate 50% or less of parents actual attempt to raise their children as they should in any civilized society. |
Great idea.
Give them more and give us nothing. Just keep spoon feeding them our rights. |
what is wrong with people on this site wanting to give up their rights??????? do you realize this is a gun forum? plenty of room over on knitting.com for you...................

On the one hand we have the tide pod eating generation..........on the other hand we have...NO
Fuck it just make it the age to do anything and everything.
Vote, marry, enlist, apply for a loan, etc. We're a nation of fucking children apparently that can't handle responsibility. |
While I would say no to this, I think if the democrats push any bill raising the age to buy a rifle, a raise in the voting age need to be tacked on to it.
no but I see where youre going with it.
The 18-25 age bracket leans very heavily to the left, so by removing them from the voting pool it would help our gun rights in the long run. the question is how many of them actually vote, especially on non presidential election years. |
21 would present some big enough consequences. No need to get absurd.
However, it would have to include more than voting and gun ownership. It would be the emancipation line. Able to serve in military, able to sign a contract, get married etc. Think that would pretty muc doom it. |
How about abolish the NFA including deregulating MGs and DDs, in exchange for a 2 day waiting period for standard capacity magazines? That sounds like a better compromise to me.
FFS. Can we hand out a lock and ban for every "Would you support..." thread? Tyranny doesn't present you with choices. EVER.
While I won't bargain pieces of freedom away...
There is a philosophical point here: a teachable moment as it were. All these kids under 25 who want to ban everything would think twice if it backfired, and they were mostly what got banned. |
