I've talked to a lot of self-identified liberals, and I've heard all of those expressed, or at least implied. Most genuinely think that it would reduce crime. But most of them really haven't thought about it at all, and are just regurgitating what they here on MSNBC. |

Liberals don't think that anyone but daddy government ought to have the ability to use violence as a tool.
They truly believe that we will all be better off if we submit to the power of government, no matter what that is.....because they believe in using government to force others to accept their ideas/ideals. Which isn't too far off of how the religious right views government.....but I digress. At least the religious right understands that the state cannot have a monopoly on violence lest it become overbearing and totalitarian. (which is why I can tolerate the RR, while I cannot tolerate dumbocrats). Even if we disagree on some points, the RR understand the importance of being able to resist a government that no longer represents the people. The 2a is a check & balance against government. We should not let that government whittle away at it's ability to provide the fear of the people necessary to keep government from going too far. |

I asked, "Well what is going to happen to those people we can't reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?" And the reply was that they'd have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers. And when I say "eliminate," I mean "kill." Twenty-five million people. I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people and they were dead serious. |

All you have to do is take a quick look where countries (and states) that took a nosedive into gun control. Germany? The holocaust and now rampant migrant rape and crime. England? Terrorist attacks on the regular with bar patrons fighting back with chairs. France? See England.
European countries that are more "gun friendly" than their neighbors like Switzerland and the Czech Republic don't have the same problems as the rest. What a strange coincidence. |

None of the above. As I posted in another thread, owning combat arms means you recognize, on some level, you may one day find yourself in a situation where you need them. If you can't live with this view of the world, you MUST believe no on has a need for such weapons, because the alternative is too terrifying. It's fucking scary to actually have to think about the idea that YOU are responsible for your own preservation and the preservation of your family and community.

There are loons in the left that have publicly stated that gun owners should die, they have blood on their hands. They have also said right wing speech should be banned and those that spew it should die.
We can see what happens to unarmed populations today, they are left to throwing rocks in the street, and using improvised weapons. |
