A former neighbor of mine was on the Bush Sr detail. He was happy to request a different assignment when the Clintons showed up and continued hearing feedback from coworkers echoing similar negative sentiments.

Remember reading a book from a retired Officer who carried the Nuclear football for Clinton in his second-term; from what I recall the treatment of USSS and military personal by Hillary and Chelsea was legendarily bad. Numerous "insider" accounts have come out to show Hillary a psychotic and nasty cunt to pretty much everyone.

Nouveau riche (or the newly powerful) lack noblesse oblige - the obligations that those in power have toward those who lack it.
Dem first families, while certainly not poverty stricken before getting to the White House, didn't have the background of the Bushes or Trump. They didn't grow up with huge money, servants, and the like. They are insecure in their newfound fortune, and are compelled to demonstrate their status to those around them. They treat their underlings like crap because they know that they aren't that far removed from it. Bubba seems the exception, I think because he really did come from pretty shitty circumstances and still saw himself as a working class stiff (not that it stopped him from making a shitload of money.) But his wife, the Obamas and Carter were upper middle class - they could see what the very rich had, and were bitter that they were excluded. Then they got the chance to exercise that bitterness against those that reminded them of what they once were. |

Verified here.
Been going on for decades. Back when Clintons & the Gores were President & VP, I knew 2 Secret Service guys I used to bs with. One was on the Presidential detail and the other was on the Gore detail. I said to them that they must treat you guys like Gold, or rather Platinum. Their response, without them going into the minutia about it, was that they get treated like shit. I was surprised. They said that Bill treated them nicely and appreciated them. Like a guy you can sit down and have a beer with. But that Hillary treated them like crap, yelling at them, etc. He continued and said that when a Secret Service guy was getting transferred to the Clinton detail, they knew it was like they were getting punished for something because they all hated that detail because of Hillary. They continued and said that the Gores walked around like they were King & Queen. And also treated their detail like shit. I said that I of course believed them but I was surprised. That you guys are on the top of the LE mountain, and risk your lives for these idiots, yet they treat you like crap. |

I was assigned, with my K9, to assist the USSS detail when she decided to carpetbag NY. At her first stop her motorcade was compromised by an adoring large manly female and the detail wanted a full sweep. Mind you that the “no uniform” thing extended to her campaign. I pulled up to the motorcade and exited my truck with my dog, just as I started for the first vehicle I heard a screaming succession of vernaculars from behind me. She was directing it at me from about 15 feet.
She started with “you stupid motherfucker” and it got worse from there. I told the detail commander that she could blow up, I wasn’t playing her game. He tried to calm her but it wasn’t happening. That was the first time I was caught in her sights. Al Gore was an asshole too. |

I know people with DoS who have worked as a part of her security detail when she was secretary. They said they felt so bad for the SS guys when they saw the way she talked to them. I've actually had people defend this behavior when I brought it up.
