I know some people think they're overpriced and not on the cutting edge technology-wise but $38 for a new aluminum body dual output Surefire's not bad.

I bought a G2X last week and now wishing I waited a little bit longer! It's definitely no award winning flashlight, but a Surefire is a Surefire.

Only bought one, but I sure was tempted for one more. I'm enough of a flashaholic that I own several old 6Ps with aftermarket LEDs in them, and most putting out more than 300 lumens. But at this price (and even knowing the head can't be removed on this one), I had to!

They are tough lights as you'd expect from Surefire and very economical. The specs aren't that impressive at this point, but at this price it is still a lot for your money.

You can currently get a Fenix light (overseas manufacture with 5 year warranty) with twice the output for $35-50 though so it really depends what you want the light to do.

These use the same head as the G2x, so this mod will work:

Use an X-acto knife to cut that little trace on the rear of the head, and you'll have a single function (high power only) light. I've modified two of my G2X Pros this way, they work great!
