I know there are a lot of rocket sturgeons here so lets compare scores.
I took the test twice, once in tech school and then the air force wouldn't stop calling and again when I was 22ish to get into my plants apprentice program. IIRC, I got an 89 in school and I may have breathed in second hand smoke on the bus that morning, and the second time I got a 91 and was hung over as hell. Both times I thought it was easy except for the higher math. I was never good with math and I didnt finish that part which wasnt required anyway. In school up to 9th grade when I went into tech I was a C-D student. Try to be realistic. |

95 on the ASVAB, 134 something GT score. I enlisted 11B
Edited, since you changed the title, B-C student in HS, I never had to actually apply myself or work. I then got into a military college and did poorly the first few years at college, mostly because I had no idea how to work or study in a scholastic environment. I left school and came back a year or so ago and graduated in May with a BA in Int Affairs w/ a ME focus. If you only count my GPA from my last two years I would have a 3.66 eta the actual scores |

I got a 78 back in 1989, and thought I did good. I guess I wasn't THAT smart after all.
I did however graduate second out of my A-school AT class and got NAS Miramar, so there's that. ETA: pulled out of public school after 6th grade, then in a start-up church school for my freshman and sophomore year. I fucking HATED it, and was pretty much a D student. Got kicked out of the house and sent to Denver to live with my mom where I attended junior and senior year (88-90) in public school. I was mostly an A student with a B here now and then. I don't know what my deal was, lol. |
|
I know people will call BS, but I got a 142GT and a 99 ASVAB back in 2006.
I didn't go to high school (home-schooled), but I was on the dean's list 1 out of 2 semesters in college. I joined the NG as a 13F (Artillery forward observer), but after about four years switched to 42R (Army band). |
|
I never really gave a shit in high school. Looking back, I maybe could have been diagnosed with some form of ADD, as I could never stay focused enough to actually do the required work. Not to say I didn't learn anything, I usually did well on tests, but repeatedly failed to do required class work/homework. I ended up graduating with like a 2.6-2.7 GPA.
All that being said, I scored a 31 on the ACT and either a 91 or 92 on my ASVAB. Didn't really do much good for me as I was boneheaded and dropped out of college then chose a guaranteed Security Forces slot. I guess at least I chose the Air Force. |
|
99 on the ASVAB in 1992.
Mostly a C and D student my freshman and sophomore years. Aced all my tests but never bothered to do a bit of homework. Buckled down part-way through my junior year and graduated with a 3.4 GPA. |
|
Got a 99. Had around 3.0 GPA. Took it after I had had a few years of college though.
|
|
The ASVAB should be mandatory for service, I have no idea where I'd stack up, but did well with the AFOQT.
|
|
I remember scoring in the 90s, and thinking it was easy.
My grades in high school were not good, however. I really struggled with math classes, chem, etc. And I was also a lazy fuck who never did homework ETA: I also did not take it seriously at all. I only took the test because it meant I got to skip 3 periods of class that day. Ahh, the mind of a 17 year old |

Kicked out of HS my sophomore year. Scored 99 on ASVAB. That test is

Had been out of school for about 2 years and didn't study...meh The recruiter even mentioned getting a study guide, but everyone told me they're full of shit so I wasn't sure and I barely graduated HS, but did pretty good in "collage".... |
|
I took it 24 years ago. I have no idea what the actual score was.
It was high enough to allow many options... except a mechanic, not sure is recruiter was joking about the mechanic part. |
|
Graduated high school with a 1.5 GPA.
Cut a 92 on the asvab and graduated from Corry with a 97.6%. *shrug* |

It was something about understanding the "Why" of doing it. Also a bit ADD or hyper as they called it then with a touch of dyslexia I think. I would do long division wrong but get the correct answer and also made M's above the space where I was trying to make a 3 and not even be able to see it until pointed out. That got corrected by writing 33333333333333333333 A half million times while saying it out loud. Oddly enough I got 100% of the spatial relations part of ASVAB correct and can picture things on my head way better than I can explain or even draw them for people. Its like I think they should already know the basic concept and I just need to fill in the rough edges. |

Wow, I guess this place IS full of guys with 250K+ a year jobs, Lamborghinis and super model wives. I'm a complete retard in comparison based on everyone else's scores.

99 on the ASVAB when I took it in school as a junior. B-C student because school was boring and not challenging. When I retook the ASVAB 10 years later I scored a 79...oh well.
|
|
I don't know if I am remembering it correctly, it was 1985 when I took it, but I recall scoring something like 134. I don't know. I do remember that the recruiter said I could go to medical school on the Army's dime if I wanted.
My grade averages were B+/A-. |
|
98
I was a C-D student in HS. I'd do little to no homework then nearly ace the test and that would be enough to barley pass the class. My teachers hated it. One of the smartest kids in the school just didn't give a crap about their game. Went into the Navy non designated Wound up an AT did my 3 years and moved on. Tried college a couple of times and found it boring and dropped out. Now Ive been in management for almost 20 years. Starting to get bored again... I do laugh at the MBA's that work for me when I barley graduated HS and flunked out of college twice. |

96 or 98 in 88, I forget. I was a B-/C+ student. By 10th grade I was thoroughly bored with school.
I got all As in computer science on the trash 80s though. Only class I cared about. |

Graduated HS with a 3.2 GPA. Two years of college before dropping out and my GPA was 1.6 or something similar. I didn't go to classes, etc.
took the asvab 7 years after HS and got a 99, 144 GT score. I attribute that mostly to good standardized test skills. Took an airborn infantry contract. Tons of high GT score dudes in the infantry from my limited experience. *ETA* I'll finish my degree in December. 15 years start to finish with a lot of life mixed in. Should graduate with about a 2.8-9 which I'm proud of considering how I started. |

I don't remember the score. I do remember the Navy recruiters trying to get me into their Nuclear Power Program.

99 on ASVAB my HS grade point was just barely enough to pass. Really a crap student who didn't care about being there.
Went 95B in the Army. |

3.7 GPA in high school
2.5 GPA in College Part 1 98 ASVAB 3.9 B.S. GPA in College Part 2 3.8 M.S. GPA in College Part 2 |

110 ASVAB in 1999.
Barely passed high school. 3.6 GPA when graduated from the University of Florida in 2015. |

I hated school and could never stay focused but always did well on tests. Looking back, I'm sure I was ate up with ADHD. I never really studied and almost never took any text books home. I can't remember what my asvab score was as it was almost 25 years ago when I took it but it had to be over 101 cause I was a 68s preventive medicine specialist. The main reason I selected this mos was because I wanted to be around all the womenz nurses and PA's.

How the hell do you guys remember such things ?
I remember taking it just to get out of classes one morning. I have NO idea what I scored. I do remember thinking it was easier than the ACT......but I have no idea what I scored on that either. |

It goes no higher than 99 GT is a composite score and can go up to 140 something. If you are bragging about your 110 ASVAB, you are doing it wrong. |
