Poll inbound.
People talking about $2k+ watches, less than $400 watches... I haven't bought a watch EVER that cost more than $30, and I haven't worn one since I got a smartphone about 4 years ago. EDIT: at 1115 answers We are at 33.004% saying no, and 66.996% saying yes. Fascinating stuff |

27 and wear A watch daily. I do valve logs at work and it's handy to be able to write times down when I need to. Also I hate talking to someone and having them pull their phone out to check the time, it generally crashes a conversation.
Also, it's a great conversation starter if it's a cool watch. I've had some pretty cute women inquire about it. |

Yes, most days. It's a citizen eco-drive that my wife got me. I like it, it looks decent without being gaudy, keeps good time....
Eco drives. They look good. reliable. The higher end ones are satellite or radio programmable and just work well. I have 3. Always in rotation.

59 and yes. Samsung Gear S2. Let's me keep the phone muted and on my belt and still not miss alarms, notifications and texts.
Yeah. Time is a big deal with what We do.
Wearing a watch is more important than wearing a knife or a gun. |
I wear a Samsung Gear S3, and I love it. I also have a Citizen Nighthawk, but I don't ever wear it.
I like having a watch on, and the Gear S3 is also handy because it gives me notifications from my phone. |
I have worn a watch for a very long time.
Rather handy device. |
I work in industrial maintenance....no watches at work.
Outside of work, I use my phone |
Have not worn any jewelry since the early 80's, not worth the trouble, I have several watches, but they ain't worth me loosing a finger or a hand over!
Yes, 26. Even though I had a smartphone for nearly 10 years, I still prefer a watch.
I just turned 30 a month ago and I don't wear a watch. Which "No" should I pick?
I never got the whole expensive watch thing aside from being a hobby. I don't wear one any more but the most expensive one I've owned was about $20. I usually bought $7 ones at WalMart and tossed them when the battery died because by then they were worn out anyway.
My anecdotal experience tells me that the poll results over-sample watch wearing folk such as
Sometimes. Out in the field hunting fishing backpacking yes. At work usually no.
Not since I left high school. My work and my hobbies would destroy a watch, or drag my arm into a piece of machinery.
29yro and no I do not wear any jewelry. My phone does everything a watch can do.

I have a cheap Timex 1440 I've worn almost everyday for years.
I'm in my late 20s and I wear one just about ever day. Very useful to have. I've worn a watch most of the time since possibly as far back as the 4th grade. As an additional data point, I've only used smart phones of any type for about 2 years.

Are you James Bond? Sean Connery or Pierce Brosnan? Then you will not get laid with a watch. I don't care if you are on BEST timeline or how much it cost... https://media.tenor.co/images/56d4a5bc399098ac54c4018f921d4125/raw View Quote |

I don't wear a watch to get laid... Simply, I can't have my phone in certain areas or I can't always keep it charged over long weekends. View Quote Who gives a shit about time? Wear an Apple Watch everyday.
Wore a 17 year old Swiss army stainless everyday before that. Rolex that pretty much sits in my safe unless I'm wearing a suit or tux. I wore the Rolex for work once and got horrible looks from the shift workers in the factory when I visited. |

Age 29.
Always have since about 12. At my job it is also mandatory. Or at least keeping a time piece on your person that is not an "electronic device", in other words a phone. |
I've been wearing a Casio Mariner for about 15 years. Best $64.00 I ever spent.

All the time. And none of my watches have batteries or capacitors either. 30.

70, no do not wear, have a Rolex Datejust and an Omega Speedmaster, Seiko 173 Japan and a few others.
Right now I'm wearing a MQJ Submariner (not waterproof), because my Seiko 173 stopped from inactivity and the SubM can be manually wound. Hot for a IWC Big Pilot but it costs as much as two European vacations. Plan to get a homage fake, it would look nice, sitting in the safe next to the other watches. Forgot, wore out two G-Shocks, the rubber parts died. Use these for diving. But use a computer too. |
I have a high end alt-baro-compass dive watch.
I haven't seen it in about 2 yrs lol. I think the movers stole it when I moved. But watches are a p.i.t.a. anyway |
