a confidant of President Donald Trump, told Business Insider in a Monday interview that Trump should cut a deal with Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. His proposition: Replace her on the bench with Judge Merrick Garland, President Barack Obama's choice to fill Justice Antonin Scalia's vacated seat in 2016. View Quote |

Judas Priest.
Stop trying to make "Merrick Garland" happen. It isn't going to happen. |
So swap a left wing judge who is about to retire or die for one who won't retire or die for probably another 20 years?
Wow, what a great idea. |

Tell me: how would that be a deal?
You don't tell a guy that wrote the book on deal making how to make a deal...especially when dealing with a narcoleptic supreme court justice. |
Kick that dude to the curb.
Ginsburg would take that deal, all day long. |
No Deal. She's gonna die soon and then Trump can pick a good judge.
No. The time for any sort of deal was before the Dems filibustered Gorsuch (and they'd have needed to sweeten that deal a bit more). They wanted to play games, now they can fucking deal with the consequences
She'll be gone within 4 years anyway then appoint another Constitutional judge......winning. Face it boys and girls SCOTUS is the Holy Grail for the foreseeable future, which ever ideology will control the direction we go. Personally, I'd like to see CJ Roberts retire and Trump appoint a new one that's more reliable.

She grabbed Death by the short and curlies and gave 'em a twist twice already.
Why would she cut a deal with Trump? |
Lol. Ok. You realize she's gonna die tonight or tomorrow right? Get your face fucked, fag.

Business Insider -- the epitome of Crony Capitalism and Corporate Welfare.

Fuck that, that old bag is ready to kick it. Wait and put on who ever the fuck he wants

How 'bout this deal....
The commie cunt steps down and we don't pursue charges of judicial misconduct? There's no way that eggplant has been writing her own shit for the last few years, her clerks are occupying her seat. |
As a purely political move, it would be entertaining. Dems act like Garland was the greatest judicial mind in American history when he was supposed to replace Scalia and they've made a martyr of him since last year
But faced with the prospect of having him replace a far left vote instead of a far right one they'd no doubt sing a different tune. That said, no, let her retire and replace her with another originalist |
If I was Trump, my plan would be to meet with the Supremes and make sudden, loud noises, as often as I could in close proximity to the evil bitch and let nature take it's course.
Tell her that if she steps down, she'll have input on her replacement. Then after she steps down, promptly listen to her thoughts, thank for service to the country, and disregard said thoughts. Install another conservative.
How bout she retire and get replaced with someone on his LIST.
Dems would still probably filibuster Garland just because Trump nominated him for appointment.
I think the first part is a good idea. When she steps down simply nominate whoever you want.
First rule in deal making. When you hold all the cards and have all the power and time in the world, you don't make deals, you only make a deal when the other party has something you need in order to advance your plan. They have nothing we need, so their deal is nothing but begging.
Let the bitch resign on her own or die. One of the two will happen while Trump is in office. Then you put another Scalia originalist in her place, even if you have use the so called "nuke option." It's time to play hardball. |
Death is breathing down her neck. Fuck a deal. He needs to replace her with someone that will make Alito look moderate.
I mean why not? The leftists in the senate will force the use of the Reid option anyway, might as well go all in. |
Nope. No deal
Dems should've pressured her to step down during the mid elections under Obama's last term |

The only deal I care about...is the one he made to the conservatives who elected him.
Here's the deal. She dies, and he replaces her with his choice.
why deal?
she's already drawing flies; the Reaper will be knocking at her door any day now. |
