We have a bad reputation?
Sorry about your trouble. Seriously. Given your post, surely there can be some middle ground where you can achieve your goals and not be a dealer. Have you asked? |
|
Sad to see you leave, but I completely understand your point.
Luckily I already follow you on the other media locations, so I will see you over there. |
|
Thats ARFCOM for ya. All about the freedoms you can afford just ask half the members here.
ETA: however if you paint enough graffiti on my wall I will eventually charge you advertising space. So all other things aside I get it. ETAA: who else knows about us besides the DU? I'll be happy we got any cred at all. |
|
That's messed up, a YouTube giveaway is not being a dealer IMO.
ETA: I was following your YouTube channel before you became a member here and will continue to do so. Don't forget NOT to leave those of us out of the giveaways that don't have facebook. |
|
That's pretty fucked up. I'm totally with you man, best wishes, and I know where to find you.

When I first posted here a year ago I was met with a warm welcome and had a lot of great interaction with all of you. I hope my videos have brought you the info needed to make informed purchases. But I can no longer support a site that openly extorts me for money. Earlier this month I posted a thread in the 50CAL section sharing my "Ultimate 50BMG Giveaway". Many of you know that most of the companies I work with on YouTube have agreed to giveaway a model of whatever I'm reviewing. So, we just did a simple giveaway of a AR50, 200rds of 50BMG, a Cerakote Job, 50BMG gong, and a rear bag. The winner was a 26 year old Marine Vet. This is on top of the 5 suppressors I have given away already and we have 6 more this month to giveaway. It's one way I give back to our community, besides the charity shoots I do that are open to the public. I just received a PM from an admin saying I must pay them or change my screen name. This is in reference to the attention I brought to the 50 BMG giveaway so no forum members missed it. I already have a paid membership to support this site and actually just paid for another year. But now they say I must have a dealer account which of course, costs much more $. This site has a very bad reputation across the internet and I still gave it a shot. The members here in the NFA section are good to go and I thank you for the conversation over the last year. But I can not do business with a site that extorts a YouTube channel and treats them as a dealer. HKPro and NFATalk pulled the same crap, guess where I no longer visit. Thanks for your time, NFA Review Channel P.S. For those of you that want daily updates and info on the giveaway you can find them on my Facebook page. |
Gee those meanies wouldn't let you advertise to generate clicks and make money for free?
|
|
You have a biz, they have a biz. You want to use their biz to advertise your biz, they want compensation.
This is the way of the world, dude. Advertising isn't free. |
|
You make money off of your YouTube videos. You post links to the videos here, which is what we call "advertising".
|

How come this thread is on here 3 times with fucked up post times? Look at op and first post of this one
|
|
I see OP's point and I understand ARFCOM's rules.
This will not go as planned. |
|
Well...
Bye. eta: Quoted:

|
Sorry OP. The rules are pretty clear on this stuff here.
I like your YouTube stuff but you are wrong on this one. |
|
Fuck, remind me to never post up a lot of you tube vids... oooorrr that could be why the fucking you tube magic link button never fucking works?

OP was edited by Aimless.
I would assume that is where time stamp issue comes from. |

Many of the other boards have staff that mod with an iron fist. |

Bye Felicia.
You want a business that spends money on bandwidth to give you a huge, free platform to make money? Stop smoking that shit. Seriously. |

I think its bad form to post a PM.
OP is upset about rules and complains in a fairwell post. On the subject of fairwell threads are they: 1. Intended to garner sympathy 2. Complain about management 3. Pan handling 4. Looking for support 5. Never turn out as expected. When I leave a hobbie or message board I just vanish. No fairwell thread. Never understood the farewell threads. OP supports the comunity and does good things don't let the good will go to waste. |

Why should he have to pay when his service is completely at the behest of the community? Sympathy? This won't go as expected. Should be good for some entertainment though.

Is this OP's going away present? Spamming with multiple threads?

Nice swipe on the way out the door. I guess you really can't hide class. |

Bullshit. |

If they go to a website, it drives traffic. Youtube, drives traffic. Google, drives traffic. This is 2016, there's nothing that's not hit with advertising. He was preforming a service for the community and the couple 100 clicks he got from Arfcom didn't change his channel's revenue. |

I can see both sides of this, sorry OP but rules is rules. But thanks for trying to give back - unfortunately it's just not the way it works on a platform this massive. I will subscribe to your channel just 'cause now though, because the community as a whole will benefit.
The guys that run Arfcom have to be strict on stuff like this given the size of the platform. I support their decision but also support your channel. |

Didn't know who he was before, now I have absolutely no interest in visiting his YouTube or Facebook page. Don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. |

So you knew the rules, broke the rules, then got upset when you were politely asked to follow the rules?
|

Don't like the rules, then just GTFO.
No need for your whiny ass, attention whoring, woe is me goodbye thread. |
