All my friends here knows that I bought a M1911A1 built in 1945 an dmade by Ithaca.

Now my mind is working to know more about this pistol.

According to your opinion, it is possible to address an inquiry to Us. Govt. to make an historical research about:

- when this pistol was issued?
- in which unit was it used?
- who used it?
- if it is possible to consult unit armory registers to see when and where saw action?

Thanks
