It rained last night, I came outside and noticed a few dead spots, like small animals feet in a path.

Weird thing is it's not a path where any human would have walked, my vehicles would prevent anyone from spilling stuff along it.

The spots have a little bit of white fuzz, so when I brushed it off with my shoe, everything underneath was dead.  Does my yard have AIDS?

No dog, and the spots are only like 2" circles, literally in a pattern like a rabbit walked across it.

White fuzz, it almost looks like stringy dryer lint.

It's a fungus.  I tried Neem oil on mine.  They also have other fungicides, some I believe contain copper.  the spots grow new grass in time, it's just important to treat it so it doesn't spread.

I read excess rain especially at night will do it.

I've seen that in my grass before, figured it was a fungus, but in for the answer and shenanigans.

Did you spray roundup nearby and the animal walked through it?
