Very true.   But the very first ones were hand stamped and that's why.

And take a look at the inspector's stamp on the right side of the receiver.  The inspector's stamp is the three digit code, "960" and it is always hand stamped.

You really need to hold an M1 rifle, carbine, or Thompson when watching Band of Brothers.
I don't have a Thompson.

Now, if you were a Marine you could watch all those guys and just hold your Johnson tightly...

I wonder how far into that first day? First hour even? Or did they go real slow making sure the equipment was properly calibrated and adjusted? So, before noon? After?

But it's beautiful that's for sure.

If you are an unamerican heathen who doesn't love Garands don't click on the thread, easy as pie

I however love all iterations of Garands (well not those Jap abominations) so I will continue to click and appreciate their beauty

How do people get mad about gun threads on a gun forum, anyway? I clicked on this thread without looking at who the author was, scrolled down to the OP, saw the garand receiver, scrolled up a bit, and said "Damn, Fluffy fooled me again. Might as well look at some garands while I'm here"

I'm surprised at the number of people who see a thread title with some variation of "Italian supermodel" and think it's something OTHER than a ftc thread showing off more Italian Garands.

I see that sort of title and I don't even have to guess who the author is or what the thread is about.

I love Fluffy, his Garands, and his wife.  I do not appreciate ppl making derogatory comments about his Garands.  Almost always by new members with an axe to grind.  Not a fan of those people.

Back on topic.

I just looked at BMR 27, BMR 28, BMR 29, and BMR 30.

The serial numbers were not hand stamped on these.   So somewhere between 9 and 27, they perfected the serial numbers.

I think they can't be imported.

But there were only four US M1 producers.  ( Springfield Armory, Winchester, Harrington & Richardson and International Harvester)

You can find one if you look real hard. Scored one on Gunbroker recently. Cost me a pretty penny though.

I do love Garands fluffy, and you know I no homo love you, but one of these threads you're going to have to post a Sports Illustrated/fashion week type Italian supermodel too.

Because what's better than a Garand? A Garand and (CoC compliant) boobies!

What does being a marine have to do with Band of Brothers or world war 2 era weapons?
And explain how holding onto a Johnson is associated with any of that.

It was a pretty clever joke on a few levels.

Start here: M1941 Johnson Rifle

Then see plentiful jokes about Marines being sexually active in the strangest of ways.

Back to Fluffy, that is pretty interesting about them going to machine stamping of the serial numbers between 9 and 27. Maybe they were having issues with that part of production right off the bat so they had to hand stamp a few. Any guesses?

I'm beginning to wonder if Fluffy is slowly, but surely building an armory filled with Garands to be used by Canadia (and Cuebec) when they try to secede from North America.
