unfortunately in that condition it isn't worth much. I will give you $500 ( and that is being generous) just because I like old rifles.

I PD 2400 for mine, they imported tons of these in the mid 1980s..the retractable stock is cool if you are jumping out of a plane but pain full to shoot.
Mine was same as yours minus the target. Tbh..it does not hold a candle to my Gunsouth..FN FAL. The fal gets Shot monthly, the HK..yearly.Go over to HK PRO. .the rich guys over there will buy it today.. |

Had a bit of a bidding war going. You should be able to sell that easily for a nice chunk of change. |

Anyone else notice that test target looks like pistol practice?

Apart from the thirty round magazines, it has what I estimate to be $700 in accessories: Bipod Collaspable stock web sling Folding carrying handle |

Beautiful rifle
My only minor gripe with roller lock HKs is the same gripe I have with my current Sig 556 Patrols: they eject their spent brass clear into the next county, and they beat the shit out of it. To current HK owners: does that little pad mitigate the brass issue? I wouldn't sell that rifle personally. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Had to pound the stuck case out with a dowel. |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile View Quote Yeah, the port buffer control ejection, dumping brass in a neat pile (a pile 5 wide by 10ft long) at 1 o'clock. It minimizes or prevents dents in the case. I reload mine fine. |

Think that hurts, A couple years later, like 84-85 the Dollar was very high causing import prices to drop even more, I paid around $500 retail for an HK91 & even less for an HK94, around $450. Mags & HK accessories were still high though, 94 Mags were around $30 each!. |
|
I'd keep it, hand it down some day. Why sell it now and get a measly 2-3k just imagine what it will be worth 30 years from now. To me it's worth more then what the market currently dictates, again I'd just hold on to it.

Great find!
The A3 stock is around $200. RTG sells them new in that range...maybe a bit more. The 30rnd mags "MAY" be factory mags. A closer exam would tell. |

I bought almost that same set up, plus it had the bayonet adapter installed and the bayonet itself, at a gun show in Kodiak, AK back in '85. Paid about $600 for it. Long gone now....

View Quote About 7 years ago I put up my HK91 A3 stock for sale on the HK forum. It sold in a day for $410. The commercial A3 stocks are painted to match the HK91 and are pretty hard to find. The A3 stocks sold by RTG are military surplus G3 and are parkerized. |

HK91A3 with factory bipod, sling, and carry handle. The 2 Extended mags have some value. The standard mags have little value these days. The A3 stock is rarer than the A2 fixed stock so has collector value. The A2 stock is much more comfortable to shoot especially with extended buttpad. I think the package price is about $3000, not including ammo. Prices have remained steady since 2004 AW Sunset. Price in 1981 for the package was about $900-1000 not including ammo. View Quote The 30 round mags easily bring $60-80 + each. I would say the whole package would easily do $32-3500 maybe a hair more to the right buyer |

I bought my minty used HK91 in 1992ish for $1100, but with bipod. I grew up in L.A. and was working for my parents' attorney right out of college and B&B Guns (Hollywood bank shootout fame) had them listed for $660 in the L.A. Times Sports page. This was 1985. I was at my bank one Friday cashing my paycheck and mom walks in to do her stuff and we start chatting. Needless to say, that idea was torpedoed right there in line. In the mid 90s, I paid $250 for a factory A3 meat grinder, the slim 'tropical forend,' carry handle, sight tool, sling, cleaning kit and 30mm German claw mount. http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d183/Flyingsqir/ThingsThatGoBang/HK91A3b.jpg I love my 91, but they're not for everybody.
