Yes, I know there is a sub for knives but I see cool shit posted here in GD by people who aren't in the sub then forget what the title of the thread was and then get bored trying to search through every random knife related thread in GD.

This is what I usually carry for long bike rides:

A waved Spyderco Delica and a Kwaiken by Dynamik Blades aka Smithy

It's called The OD1. It's pretty neat because the flipper gets hidden in the handle when it's open. It's not cool at the moment because I haven't carried it since I used to carry tip down so the clip is still setup that way.

I believe you about the people 100%. I'm not super well traveled but I've been around enough to have learned that people are people everywhere and I believe most people are pretty cool.  Having lived in Washington for my whole life though, I've seen first hand what happens when you are a purple state and how the slide goes. I don't want to go through the pain of starting fresh again somewhere else only to find myself an old man the next time my state goes full on leftie.

The most conservative parts of Washington are still ruled by king and pierce counties.

It's a hot market around the cities, but we're looking for a little bit of property and while prices are probably high for what they used to be, the more rural areas are well within our expected budget.

I'm not sure I catch the hat reference.

I could be drawn to the place because I share certain traits with the locals .

It's cool to think about going somewhere that just passed constitutional carry and removed state regulations for sbs/SBRs while my state passes magazine and ghost gun bans.

The last benchmade knife I bought was their adamas and did not like any knife they came out with since….not enough to preorder anyway

Still life from Massachusetts.

Shades of Caravaggio, with nod to Monet, this work inspires the question:

Hey DFARM, why not Kentucky? Isn't that better than TN? I mean, not the western part of the state, but there seem to be good people to the east.

Is the background the Kamado you grill with?

It sets the knife off well....

Not your usual color contrast excellence, but the texture makes the difference IMO.
This is a visually appealing photo to me.

Don,
Great to "see" you again.

I'm both happy and sad for your best friend.

I have questions about the Viking drinking chants though...

1...What are they, (translated)?
2...How did you learn them?
3...How accurate are your chants? IE - how do you know you're not really yelling that you like big hairy men in old Norse? (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Wife spent $150 on a Butcher Box. These grass fed "strip loins" have this weird question mark gristle on the left of the picture. I've grilled a lot of strips and never seen this. Damn defective cows or something.
