Yes, I know there is a sub for knives but I see cool shit posted here in GD by people who aren't in the sub then forget what the title of the thread was and then get bored trying to search through every random knife related thread in GD.

This is what I usually carry for long bike rides:

A waved Spyderco Delica and a Kwaiken by Dynamik Blades aka Smithy

I know I'd said that I liked the kwaiken - I like the hattin more (at first blush) for the same reasons. It's like the kwaiken's big brother. Not sure why you think they'd be good pig stickers, but you do you I guess.

The lanyard itself is fine, it's just the way they apparently intend it to be attached that is silly.

It's slightly convexed, but I think the 1/16" stock was too thin to get enough curve in it to matter much.

Micarta is great because you get so much variation from one material and it is really tough. Want a rough worn look? sand it. use it. It picks up oils and other stuff and darkens, takes on character. Want to start over? wash it. want a polished look? Wax and polish. very versatile and so many patterns and looks.

With that being said, one might not be enough. You might need to try a number of different ones. I started with micarta on my BRKs and never appreciated it because it was all smooth and polished. In retrospect I should have roughed them up with sand paper to open them up. Probably would have liked them even more. More warmth and character.

Oh, which reminds me, you mentioned something about the guy selling it saying it was an F95, but clearly it was a Hati, so why would he say that, or something like that. Meant to respond. As far as I know, the Hati is an F series knife. It is built the same as an F95 but has a non ti show scale. Only difference I believe.

Yes..I see... I was comparing to the XM-18 in my mind, but just found an article saying the 0560 is just a hair shorter than a 24. But ZT claims it is based on an 18. Regardless, I had looked more at 24s than 18s just for the OAL, so that would certainly go to why I like the 0560.

Article also talked about the use of blade stops that look like thumb studs and the difficulty of balancing the detent to do both.

Mine was doing that today too. Gave her lunch and then she came and hovered around the table waiting to see if anything would drop. Got yelled at and told to go to her bed, which she did, until I left the table and she took that as permission to come over and inspect the floor. This dog...always acting like we are starving her.
