Yes, I know there is a sub for knives but I see cool shit posted here in GD by people who aren't in the sub then forget what the title of the thread was and then get bored trying to search through every random knife related thread in GD.

This is what I usually carry for long bike rides:

It needs to be legalized everywhere. Not because I personally want it, but it seems less harmful than alcohol, causes far fewer problems (drunken domestic assault comes to mind), and is an excuse for way too much abuse by law enforcement.

All this. And there has been some medicinal value shown with various strains/by-products.

But he hails from Delaware and Scranton PA.
Both Northern states IIRC.

I'd suggest putting a stick up his ass and posting him in a corn field somewhere so he could finally be useful, but he'd fuck that up too.

Sadly mostly true. Since I convinced myself I needed it I really haven't used it much. I actually got it back around the last pic of me plugging a tire but it didn't make the cut in the pics.

Is this better?

1...there is no current test/testing system that allows for rapid testing and accurate results of someone suspected of DUI marijuana that can distinguish between the THC levels in the blood that may or may not be present from prior use and thus no longer impairing driving. This is a market driven issue and as more states legalize, I'm sure something will be developed.

2... There are credible studies that indicate chronic high THC use in teens and young adults causes mental health issues such as bi polar disorder. The human brain does not fully mature until approximately 25, and playing with chemicals while something is in development is a good way to skew the development. Additionally, when you legalize something, you will create a monetary gain for those who are capable of increasing the yield of the product. Since marijuana has been legalized in many states, the chemists and botanists have gotten involved in boosting the THC levels of marijuana.

I realize these studies are currently controversial, but it is something to consider.

Once those two issues get resolved, I'm fine.

Granted I'm on the other side of the fence than you are...but you're not wrong per se.

When Washington first legalized it, I read the DUI laws pertaining to it because I was familiar with testing for THC. They wrote in a line that said something along the lines of "... unless there's proof of use between the act and testing". My mind immediately went to "well, if I was driving stoned, I'd just show the cop an edible in the package and take a bite before I gave him my license".

I think they have stopped actually enforcing laws there now anyway, so I guess it doesn't matter. Lol

I'm recently finding myself especially bitter about what happened to Washington over the last ~15 years.

Those are really my only hangups with it as well. My suggestion, while the .gov should never be involved in what someone puts into their body willingly (amongst other things), is to treat it like alcohol or tobacco and regulate it to ensure it's safe for consumption.

If you are trying to use the hole for deployment, it feels a bit thick, harder to do. Maybe if I had Kuraki size hands, but I can only roll it out. Ram lock flick and it is great.

Fit and finish is great, good attention to details, sharp as fuck, fair price if you can get it at MSRP. Scales could use a bit more texture, maybe some milling in the G10, definitely need a micarta option

It’s on the way to being federally legal. A certain domestic three letter agency has significantly relaxed their marijuana policy for law enforcement and another certain operate-outside-the-USA three letter agency no longer disqualies you as long as the use isn’t within three months.

A few friends and I went up to Golden to tour the Coors factory. We got a hotel room and decided to party it up. I ended up throwing up under the arch that says "Welcome to Golden" after getting carried out of the bar. One friend passed out in a planter on the corner. Another wandered off and when we woke up he wasn't in the room and calling his phone went to voicemail. We decided to get up and try to retrace our steps from the night to see if we could find him. As we're getting up we see shoes sticking out from under one of the beds. It was our friend that wandered off. We then realized one of us was missing a wallet, so off we go. We find it in the street in front of the bar with tire marks across it. The guy that passed out in the planter found his keys in it.

Rough night.

If someone is impaired they are impared. An arbitrary number isn't going to be the way to determine it. A video of someone who can't perform basic skills in roadside tests is more telling than a ppm test. I don't have a better answer though and I get there has to be a legal standard but I also survived riding with a friend's mom who pounded oxy like it was food and as far as I know there's no real number for that but she lived on a different plane than the rest of us.

For the second thing. It comes down to talking to your damn kids. My son and I have had talks about drug use and I focused on brain development instead of the reefer madness shtick. I even included alcohol in the discussion because it has so so many damaging effects on young brains that I wish I had known.

He's kinda turned off about cannabis, since we go to a lot of concerts together and end up coming home smelling like weed and he hates it.

I suppose we'd need to take the safety nets away to make it so people are responsible for themselves.

I thought the same thing when they were arguing about what to do with "the jungle" in Seattle. Just give everyone as many drugs as they wanted, only rule is that they have to do them in front of the person who gives it out.

I don't know where to draw the line on drugs but our food companies are allowed to feed us stuff that isn't food.

ETA: southern snacks!  I haven't had boiled peanuts since I left the job before last (they sold them at the PX and shoppettes but not at any local stores and I didn't care enough to order some from online)
