$122
Too bad. Such a neat, although useless design. Then for it to suck horribly and jam all the time. Now to see them cheaper than hi points and cobra arms crap.

I almost want to get one, work it over and make it actually work, and throw a threaded barrel and some 25rd mags on it.

Almost.

I remember when you could buy one of the smaller cast zinc guns for 20 bucks dealer price.

What's worse is that they were once known for their beautiful SAA clones. This is no legacy.

Its so sad, USFA used to make some of the finest SAA clones in the world...now they make that...thing.

Beat my less than a minute by Strela, but it is true.

Fuck them. USFA sold out on replicas of 1st Generation Colt Single Action Armies, beautifully done up guns, for these pieces of shit. I want to bash the owner's head in with that plastic piece of shit.

I'm glad I'm not the only one I was going to order a custom set when I realized the cocksuckers stopped making SAAs for whatever that abortion is. I did manage to snag one of the last new Rodeo SAAs, one of the ones with the treatment problems so it's a little spotty. IDGAF, she's beautiful and shoots.

Still pisses me off. They had great color case hardening. The "Hand of God" SAA that Russell Crowe uses in "3:10 to Yuma" remake was made by them.

My question is "what did they do with all that original Colt SAA machinery?"

A friend of mine bought one of those a couple of years back and it was complete garbage. We could not get it to shoot reliably. It jammed every other round.

That concept (actually executed to be functional, naturally), suppressed and rail-mountable, would be neat under the barrel of an AR.

The Silent Option.

After seeing some of your builds I have to say that if anyone was going to attempt to un-fuck that thing you'd be the guy to do it.

For $100 it would be neat just for a dang novelty.

Has anyone here ever messed with one enough to figure out why they don't run?  Is it just a function of shitty part-fitting?

There's no reason why they shouldn't work... it's not exactly tricky or groundbreaking engineering to get a small blowback .22 auto to work decently.

Sounds like it needs moar tungsten bolt insert.
Link Posted: 6/30/2015 12:14:13 PM EDT
[#21]
That's the bolt on the bottom right.  Tiny little thing.
The action rods and charging handles are bolted to the bolt, but I don't know how much mass they add.
There are also 3 action springs.  If I remember correctly, you use all 3 for HV stuff, and remove the center one for subsonics, but I could be way off.

"ZIP"
They gave it the right name.
I may go look at one, I like odd ball firearms.

I bought one a while back for a cheap novelty because I have a bunch of 10/22 mags. I can never get it to shoot a whole mag, 10 or 25 round.

The problem I see is that there is no extractor on the bolt. If someone could figure out how to install a 10/22 extractor on the bolt it might work better. I think a keltec P11 might also work.
