I'd buy one. I could use a shitty 1911 to practice my dremel work on. Flute that barrel add some slide serrations and do some kinda stippling on the frame/backstrap.
May as well practice on a hunk of shit then a good 1911

I can almost hear people furiously jacking off right now over on the 1911 forums. These will be sold out in weeks, maybe even days, if this comes to pass. The 1911 fanaticism is beyond anything else in the gun world.

I have bought only ONE 1911, a Springfield TRP and that is enough 1911 for me. Although as a WW2 and earlier military gun collector, these military 1911's do have me curious. Unfortunately they probably will basically be multiple rebuilds with hardly any having a manufacturer matching slide and frame. There may be a few in original condition but I can't imagine too many. But they all will still be snapped up like Doritos at ComicCon.
