After you decide you're going to keep an item and begin using it, do you save the box? My wife is always trying to save boxes in case she needs a warranty return. Wondering where she gets the idea you need the box and if other people do it.

Laptops and high value items I do.  Stupid things I do not.

Depends on the value of the item.  High $$ is yes.

Yes. For some reason it's hard for me to throw them away, even if I know I'll never need them.

It's nice to have them if I put them on the EE.

Until the warranty expires.

I always feel like I can get more money when I have the original box to go with it

If it is something that will have some resale value I do. Other than guns, mostly electronics such as the tower, UPS, monitor, motherboard/CPU, laptop and other computer parts that if I upgrade and give away I don't have to worry so much about finding packaging for it for shipping.

Yep. When it comes time to sell them to upgrade to a newer model it helps me get better resale.

Depends on the Item

If I think I may sell it in the future then Yes I will save the box.
(I've found that some will pay more if the item is in the original box).

Yep.
I save routine boxes for a month just to make sure the item works, then I toss 'em.

I still have every box for every firearm I've ever bought.

Yes it's a sickness, don't think I've every returned something.

No, but I save boxes to use to ship other items.
