Shit all we'd have to do is go pick up a couple "unlimited power supplies" down at the Wawa.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) looks like Al (short for Allen). This font sucks.

Could a quad be built that is large enough for human in flight control with a gyroscope stabilized cockpit that would give the machine ability to maneuver at very high angles of attack...and could it be a viable candidate for CAS?

Not sure how fast it would be...but very maneuverable and tough and long loiter times would be a plus as well as putting rounds on target.

Didn`t see any birds, just a fly or bug flying in front of the camera a couple times.

Not aware of any quadcopter injuries but I know there was a kid who partially decapitated himself with a remote control helicopter.

No.  You're seeing insects.  You can see cars driving in the distance a few times.

Think that is trippy?  Check out this Ted Talk on quadrotors.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2itwFJCgFQ

See what three tethered quads can do when married with a computer and three dimensional space location hardware.

That and the segment on how the computer can keep one flying after sustaining major damage.

The military applications for these little drone are staggering if you think about it.

I'd like to see a larger one with a couple of full auto CARBON 15 Pistols with 60 round mags, slaved to a facial recognition software or slaved to a HUD the operator wears... as far as battery...have a HUMVEE or suitable vehicle with a platform and mechanism that allows it to land, drop the old battery, have another charged battery inserted...along with replacing the mags...off for another mission...

Incredible

I fly a quad, I'm a novice and I can not conceive of how that guy can maintain orientation.

After it gets say 50 yds from you, it's hard to tell the front from back.

Damn, build it a little bigger and put some air to air missiles on it and fuck 5th gen fighters.

Hell, put some ATG missiles on it and hit terrorists with huge amounts of win and high fives from the SF guy flying that bitch from a couple miles away. That could change Special Operations big time. The ordinance wouldn't need to be big, just big enough to kill what you want to. This could even supplement snipers.

For those claiming it's sped up, it's not.  You are seeing flies.  As others posted, watch the speed of the cars as well as the panning speed of the camera.  He filmed this with a GoPro on his head by the way.  I soooo want one of these.

Can't escape gravity.  Even if you had a stabilized cockpit to help maintain your sight picture the meatsack in the driver's seat would still blackout from the G-forces.  The pilot is already the weakest link in a lot of modern fighters.

There was an article a few years back about the military having them.It was a small man portable one a single soldier would carry and deploy when needed.

The video demonstration I saw they used it to take out a sniper on a rooftop (simulated),Just flew it in and it blew the shit out of the rooftop.

I'm guessing they are working on some really wild stuff behind the scenes.................
