I'm selling a clapped out 91 KLR250 on Craigslist. I was gonna give it to a buddy for like 300 bucks, but listed it on Craigslist at 900 to see what popped up.

Some guy offered an Astra 600 with a couple mags, holster, and some rounds as a trade. I know nothing about them, but I dig surplus guns. Since I'm not super heavily vested in the bike and just want it gone, I'm considering it.

I know some are rarer than others and worth more, but that's about it. He's sending me pictures of the actual gun in a little bit. Advice on what to ask about or check with it?

Or advice or comments on the gun in general would be appreciated.

With the holster and mags, that's a very good deal.

The 600 is a blowback 9X19, has the handling of a carpenter's square, but is immensely well built.

I'll just add, I've never seen a 600 with a heel release like that. Mine has a side release on the base.

Ahh, that's not a 600. The Modelo 1921 is an Astra 400, means you have to find 9mm Largo ammo to fire it.
I'm not aware of any conversions.

The nice thing about these guns is you can shoot 9mm largo, 9mm para, and 38 ACP interchangeably.
