Carry gun. Dad called me from the car today after leaving the gun counter and was asking me about a bunch of random guns.
"S&W (and some numbers)" "M&P for $289 (.22 LR for sure)" "Some Sig" "Ruger something" "Chiappa 1911" "God no dad!" I was thinking the P238 Sig when on sale again but what lists at that pricepoint? |

S&W 9VE can be had for $300....new. Great gun for the money.
A used Ruger LC9 can be found for less than that. |

Ruger LCP can be found new for that $$$ but ammo is what costs. Even used P238s are likely to be out of price range. Maybe a Kel-Tec 38T?

Ive seen Shields for $259. $299 in store. View Quote If you are seeing them for that you should be buying them up. I think the cheapest I've seen is $349. The Body Guard without laser is $299 at LGS (.380) LCP is $279 Taurus has a couple 9mm from $240 (not a fan of their guns, don't own any) They also have a S&W SD in 9 or 40 for $299 |

p3at. Got this one on the EE for $220 with 2 mags and a Desantis holster. http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab156/coolsteve69/DSCN1673_zps541c7fa8.jpg View Quote I'm almost on board with this. I favor the P32 over the P3AT. |

For $300 Id be looking at used PD trade in Glocks/M&Ps, new S&W SD pistols, maybe a Canik etc. A carry gun has different parameters then something thats strictly a house gun. CDNN , gunbroker ( search inside your state to avoid shipping &ffl fees), PSA,Buds etc. Slickguns.com could also be useful |

p3at. Got this one on the EE for $220 shipped with 2 mags and a Desantis holster. http://i859.photobucket.com/albums/ab156/coolsteve69/DSCN1673_zps541c7fa8.jpg View Quote My buddy has one of those. It's a sweet little gun. The machining on the internal parts was done quite well. I was impressed over all, especially given the price that he paid. It has a pretty decent amount of recoil for it's size, and it's a little loud for a small cartridge. Theres so much polymer on the bottom end. That gun keeps tool makers in business. I liked it. I doubt I would buy one, but if I had the need then I would. |

I doubt I would buy one, but if I had the need then I would. I have had a couple LCP's in the past. I like the Kel Tec better if only because of the checkering on the sides of the grip and the grooves in the front and back. Much more aggressive than the Ruger. I can actually hold on to this one and fire a magazine through it without having to re-adjust my grip. Couldn't do that with the Ruger. |
