That looks to be about 6 trees plus the netting.  I already have a 200' zipline  coming off a treehouse for the kids (and me).  A small obstacle course would be a great project this spring/summer.

Not crossfit. just a fun way to get kids and adults into fitness without the gym approach.

There is a zipline already on the property, so figured to a rope bridge off of that. The whole course will be spread out over a 10acre property, might even include some shooting. .

We had 2 obstacle courses in the Marines, one of the confidence course, which was just a series of obstacles within a 100yard area (slide for life, monkey bars, triple threat, etc etc. And then we had the Fartlek Course which was, i believe 1-2 miles with obstacles and exercises inbetween.

I know of a guy who did it.  He likes to throw AKs into trash cans and make people throw up.

Welcome back to Mt. Madoriyama in Japan. Today we get to see the OP lose his shit in the first round. He and 99 other actual brave athletes will compete to conquer the final stage and become NINJA WARRIOR!

Thanks to my kids, I have to navigate a different obstacle course nearly every night when I get home at 11:00 PM.  Some are cleverly constructed and I'm pretty sure they are intended to cause pain.

Keep the neighbors' kids out.  If one gets hurt, it's an attractive nuisance lawsuit.

10 acres out in the middle of no where, completely fenced and gated. Will be set in woods environment, so itll basically be camo'd.

Yea, ive watched the youtube vids of that. its interesting, just an interesting approach to the same ole (run & gun). Mine will be just a nice normal run obstacle course for every day use.

Im thinking

Rope Climb w/bell at top

Net wall

*see OP pic

"rock" wall w/ rope climb on the other side

Traditional Monkey Bars

Balance beams

Low crawl section

Over and Under - Hated that thing.

Many city parks have jogging trails with monkey bars, dip bars, and other various exercise stations along the route.

Yea. we had an awesome park back in WVa, it as a 2 mile loop along the river and was tree covered. It had stations to stop at. Its what I ran almost every day to get ready for USMC bootcamp. Its kinda my inspiration for doing something on my own property. One of the highlights for me in USMC was the Obstacle course, I guess growing up in WV, climbing trees, up on the roof of the house, etc. It was just fun exercise that you didnt realize was exercise.

Found this....

This one has some interesting stuff, some difficult things for sure

We purchased our first house in 1977.  I didn't know it at the time but it came with a free built in exercise center.  We had 15 feet of snow that year and we were so broke we could only afford one show shovel.  The driveway was 112 feet long.  Luckily it was only a double driveway for only half it's length.

Got any pics?

So far all I have gotten done is a few miles of jogging paths that go through creeks and what not.

I'll try to get some pictures today of a couple of obstacles that need to be built.

Most of the work so far is just turning this stuff into.

Very cool. So what kinda obstacles you interested in building?

I like the list I put together but always open to ideas and want to make it fun. Its something Ill be running as much as I can, etc.

I've thought of doing the same thing but add some weight training in there too.
Bench, squat, dead lift, leg press. Leave the bars to get rusty to toughen up the hands.

Right now I'm thinking about stuff to climb as that is my biggest weakness after that it will probably some kind of flexibility challenge.

Ah yea. I like various climbing obstacles and balance ones (rope wire, balance beam). The idea is to use the whole body thru out.

I know the over-n-under is brutal all over workout, lol.
