I read the book, so I knew what I was getting into, but wow it was way more powerful to see it on the screen...

The movie was good, way better than that wash of a movie called Lone Survivor

I enjoyed it, still can't believe our president did not send anyone to his funeral. FBHO

Looking forward to a car chase better than Bullet, I read the book

Read the book & watched the movie.
Hated the movie, thought it was far too effeminate - like it was from the wife's perspective. I hated his wife in the book too though. |

Read the book, will wait until this is on DVD before watching.

Incredible movie. It's one of those that would be hard to watch a second time though. Definitely some intense moments.

View Quote LOL I'm just the opposite! I was like "why the fuck is she yammering in this book?" but her part in the movie has been played out tens of thousands of times in real life over the last 10 years and probably a million times over the last few millennia. |

I'm half way through the book. I liked the movie but the "over-acting" with the recoil and muzzle rise took away from the shooting parts to me. Just a little too much hollywood for me. And no reference to Chad Littlefield wasn't cool.

Saw it last night. I really enjoyed it. It has been a while since I read the book. I was hoping for a beach ball scene
Regarding the way they addressed his death, it was about as good and respectful as I could expect them to do. That fucking pussy coward. Didn't he never even deploy to combat and wasn't it more over the theft of Chris's truck than some sort of PTSD break down? |

I posted a link to this in one of the other American Sniper movie threads, but here is a positive review of
the movie from a USMC scout- sniper over at Sniper's Hide: http://snipershide.scout.com/story/1501682-sniper-s-hide-reviews-american-sniper |

Powerful yes - disappointing, fairly. Plus not 100% sure I liked the method used at the end - but it did guarantee a dusty theater.

Did they include the beach ball scene (bunch of terrorists clinging to beach balls to cross a river. Pop the ball, drawn the terrorists)?

I liked the movie. The girlfriend wants to see it so I'll be going a second time.

Good movie
I swear in the scene where he is meeting Taya in the bar for the first time, whatever they have Cooper using to try and make the bottom of his mouth like Chris' shows and you can see him messing with it right after it shows. |

Going tonight hopefully in IMAX as long as I can talk the others going with me to pay the extra money.
