http://latino.foxnews.com/latino/news/2014/11/28/mexican-government-asks-kids-to-turn-in-toy-guns-to-foster-culture-peace/

In an effort to curb the ever-growing number of children in Mexico
joining organized crime groups, a campaign in the violent northern state
of Nuevo León is asking kids to hand over their toy weapons in exchange
for less violent alternatives, including soccer balls and Legos.

According to reports by authorities in Ciudad Juárez, just across the
border from El Paso, Texas, underage killers-for-hire charge 500 pesos
($37) for a murder.

Now, do these soccer balls come with or without faces sewn on them?

Random thought.

My 2 year old son tries to use EVERYTHING as a gun, hangers, legos, phones, toys... pretty much anything.

He has never really seen my guns and I have never really encouraged (nor discouraged) the behavior. I have no idea where he got that from.
My point is that boys will make guns out everything, they don't even really need encouragement.

Or maybe the government could set a moral example for kids by not being corrupt to its core.
