In this thread we will post things that just don't really fit anywhere else. I got tired of posting something in the U Laugh U Lose Thread and get, "Where's the funny?"

I know that there are others here that come across WTF stuff and say, "I know there has to be another retard on Arfcom would appreciate this besides me." Well now there is a place for just that...

Points will not be deducted for funny though...

NO FREELOADING

Stuff like this... So I have shown you some of mine - show me some of yours

Call me a racist if you want, but south of the border is a sea of violence, corruption and stupidity I wouldn't touch with a ten foot pole.

Thank god I live in Canada.

The oldest globe (510 years old).
This old globe was painstakingly engraved on the surface of an ostrich egg in Italy. It was acquired by the current owner at the 2012 London Card Fair.

I believe you are correct, I doubt they are testing individual sperm cells, just testing the fluid as a whole.

Still, could be bad news in a rape trial, especially as DNA data banks become more common.

What the hell is that?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Resurrection_

The Resurrection (La Resurrezione) is an 800-quintal (80 metric ton) bronze/copper-alloy[1] sculpture by Pericle Fazzini in the Paul VI Audience Hall in Rome.[2][3] Intended to capture the anguish of 20th century mankind living under the threat of nuclear war,[1] La Resurrezione depicts Jesus rising from a nuclear crater in the Garden of Gethsemane.

The sculpture's dimensions are 66 ft × 23 ft × 10 ft (20.1 m × 7.0 m × 3.0 m).[3] The commission for the work was ordered by Count Galeassi in 1965; casting began at the Michelucci Art Foundry in Pistoia in 1972; the final sketch was produced in 1975; and the work was completed and inaugurated on September 28, 1977.

The original work was done in polystyrene and the fumes of the burning plastic gave Fazzini a blood clot during its production.[2] The statue was restored over three months in 2011.[1]

Finland or some such. The reasons the taxiways are cast in squares is to avoid having to get a permit for a very large runway.
If you cast a concrete pad more than 25 feet on a side you must pay a permit fee.

Truth or no?

Why the fuck would the .gov charge itself when building a military complex?

Most likely they are expansion joints.

I'd go with Triple-R (rapid runway repair). If you get a cratered taxiway, you cut/pull out a square slightly larger than the damage, pack the substrait and lay down pavers. Also a guess, btw.
