Well, they regularly operate in restricted airspace on a very few military ranges for training.  Also, DHS uses the Predator B (MQ-9 Reaper) for border surveillance.

Listen, and understand. That Predator drone is out there. It can't be bargained with. It can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are in a FEMA camp.

Yeah, I've seen shitloads of them at AFB's all over the country.

Did you think they only trained with them over other countries?

That was a weather balloon full of swamp gas.

Your blood sugar was low when you saw it.

It's a machine, Skroeder. It doesn't get pissed off. It doesn't get happy, it doesn't get sad, it doesn't laugh at your jokes.

I saw the craft at about 12 noon today.   Path was from north west to south east.   Near Fort Gordon .

I googled the craft while it was still fresh in my mind.

No windows.  Also ,could not see any outward weapons.  Flight was surprisingly low and slow.

Just happened to have binoculars handy.  ( watching birds in the yard )

This is burned in by laser scan. Some of us will be kept alive... to work... loading bodies. The disposal units will ran night and day.

Calling a UAV a "drone" is comparable to calling a magazine a clip...or an AR-15 an assault weapon. It's just plain dumb.

Since it was low could you hear it?

Did it sound like a 35hp Norton motocycle engine?  If so, since you are near Gordon it might be a Shadow UAV running retrans.

My guess is a Gray Eagle, since it was Fort Gordon.

Well, if you saw one that means that it WANTED you to see it.  These things don't happen by accident.  I think the fact that it was unarmed should be particularly alarming; almost as to say "look, I just fucking bombed some other dude, don't make me come for you next".

They are always armed and never return to base with ordnance.  Drones are the honey badgers of the automaton world.

Ft. Gordon doesn't have a runway.  the Predator and consequently the Gray Eagle require a fullsize runway.  They also require a chase plane to fly in civilian airspace due to their size.

If it was from Ft. Gordon, it was probably an RQ-7 Shadow.

They are also sometimes put to use during disasters.  Big wildfires, for example.
