We've all seen this the last several year. Tan military like packaging. OD Green hulls with blackened brass. Looks cool. Slightly overpriced.

As soon as I cut one open and saw the cardboard wadding and unplated lead shot I knew it was going to pattern like shit.

I tried it in three shotguns at 25-yards with the following results.

Benelli 20" Cyl bore.....N/A (every single pellet missed the 24x24" target!)

Wilson combat 18" Cyl bore.....21.75"

Remington 18.5" MOD....16.75"

By way of comparison Federal Flight control shoots pattern from 5.5" to 10" from the same three guns at the same distance.

I could have told you that.  Goggle could have too.  But I'm sure you will educate someone.

I thought a few of the reviews on this load said it was just repackaged Winchester.

I've always used red-and-brass shells... or the brass and translucent shells.  By the way, both of those use un-plated shot as well.  I've never been in a situation where I needed a shotgun to pattern well at work, it's usually to shoot NL at motherfuckers in a crowd with an RKG3 grenade, to keep dorks off/ away from our trucks... or just to breach.  But mostly to breach.

Anyhow, here's another discussion on the subject: link.

For inside the house....I haven't found anything better.

Pattern opens up fast, perfect for living room to front door.

It doesn't require an open pattern at all, as the most important thing is to place each and every buckshot on target.  That is accomplished best with tight patterns.

You get a nice softball size pattern vs golf/baseball size.

They are hot 2 3/4" as well.
