(Reuters) - Sheriff's deputies have arrested four teenage boys suspected of slaughtering more than 900 chickens that were beaten to death by intruders at a poultry farm in central California, authorities said. View Quote The birds were killed, some of them apparently with a golf club, during a break-in last month at the Foster Farms facility in Caruthers, the Fresno County Sheriff's Office said. The Sheriff's Office said late on Wednesday that detectives acting on a tip from the public arrested 18-year-old Gabriel Quintero of Riverdale and three male juveniles, a 15-year-old and two 17-year-olds, earlier in the day. |

They will turn out to be productive members of society, if serial killers are in great demand in society that is.

Gang initiation?
Angry about a bad case of salmonella? PETA? Grassroots culling to end the entero-chicken-ebola-pox pandemic? |

They should do jail with their cell covered in 3" of chicken shit.

920? Let's say they were in there for a couple of hours. That's 115 chickens per hour, per kid. Two chickens a minute. Four hours? Still a chicken per minute.
Sick or not, these kids are the fuckin' John Henrys of chicken killin. (Edited to correct bird brained mistake.) |

And they did about 1k worth of damage. Is that even a felony?
Seriously though, why would anybody club chickens to death |
|

That's a lot of chickens. Maybe put these kids to work in a slaughter house...they seem to possess a particular set of skills.
People do dumb stuff at times. A childhood friend got into drugs after high school. One night, high on cocaine, he stopped at a random farm and slit the throats of a bunch of calves. Did a bunch of stints in jail after that one and eventually committed suicide. |

Not only do you lose the cost of the chickens, you lose the income they were slotted to provide. Plus the waste and mental aspect of it all. They had nothing to gain except the act of destroying. |

At that age I spent a lot of time choking chickens, can't say I ever clubbed one.

So...who gives a shit, right? Where's the actual outrage? What if they were puppies?
Oh, shit...ARFCOM would be asking for their heads on a platter. Fuck these little assholes---put them in jail as if they had killed puppies. |
