I lost both my Oakley shades (left on the treadmill at the gym) and my EDC knife (MIA, cannot locate).

Through oakley's US standard issue site, I can get a new pair of shades for $60, or I can spend $60 on a new EDC knife.

I'm only willing to buy one for now.

Which would you choose to replace first?

What's more important, protecting my eyeballs, or potentially my life?

Poll inbound.

You only have one set of eyes for your entire life.  Do them a favor and get quality eyewear.  Get the Oakleys.  I pity people who buy the $10 cheapos from the fucking gas station.

May as well do a half water half milk mix for your cereal while your at it.

I would personally get a knife. A lot of variables could influence me the other direction though.

Considering your history of loosing expensive shit, I recommend buying shades at the dollar store, and ordering knives out of the Bud-K catalog.

I imagine you already have a knife since you said new edc so I say glasses.

Shit, I cant do without a good EDC knife, or nice sunglasses.  If you can't get both,  then I can offer no advice.

That's what I was thinking.

Considering  my Offshoots just took a rock destined for my eye I'd say Oakleys

There's no knives I would carry for $60

I like the gas cans with the flag oakley logo.

Link to $60.00 Oakley's please. With a $60.00 knife you could get yourself a real pair of Oakleys, sell them and be OK with the $60.00 pair of fake Oakleys then buy a real knife.

Neither of these items are within your price range.  Learn how to not
lose your shit and one day you will be able to afford nice things

I vote pie. Maybe because it's 330am and I'm fucking hungry
Personally, I think spending money on such items as oakleys are a waste. Either get a bunch of pie or the EDC

I can afford it. I just don't want to spend it. There is a difference.

But you are correct, losing my shit was a stupid mistake.

DAMMIT!!!! More shit to buy. YOU people.

ETA: Oakley doesn't mess around. It was easier to register for Leupold's fed/.mil program. Now I have to wait 2 days.

In any case, I think you should splurge.  There's something to be said about nice sunglasses and a nice pocket knife.

I can deal with an el cheapo knife.

Oakleys no longer say "Made in USA" on them. The metal framed glass are now made in China and say "made in china" on the arms. They took the USA off the arms so they can slowly start mixing in the china made plastic frames in. Not spending $150 plus for glasses that cost them $10.  I no longer buy Oakleys.

Buy the knife.
