Because it sets the line for any other questions, a line that says no questions will be answered.
Example: "Do you have aliens rape underage girls at Area 51?" "There is no Area 51." "Are Delta troops trained to rescue hostages?" "There is no Delta." |

They can try to deny it, but the fact is that movie does exist and Chuck Norris IS a bad actor.
But, to be honest, with a poorly scripted plot and 3rd string acting, I'd exhaust every effort to deny its existence too! |

I remember reading in BHD, that one of the wives of one of the "operators" that was killed literally thought that's what he did because he kept it secret. Wasn't it the wife of Gordon or Schughart?

Perhaps if you used the proper name of the unit you wanted to know about, you might get a real answer. Im pretty sure that "Force" has not been used since Vietnam when 1st and 2d Field Force's were deactivated. So the bottom line is that if you ask a question about "Delta Force" you are getting a truthful answer when whoever you asked says "No such unit exists in the US Military"
Why dont you run down to the local recruiter and tell him you want to join the "Army of Northern Virginia" or the "Civil Affairs Group" and see what response you get. :-) PSYWAR 1-0 Unofficial ARFCOM OPSEC guy. Edited for Clarity |

SFOD-D is a commonly known unit and actively recruits in the open from the regular army. They are also known by their names 'Delta', 'CAG', and 'those guys'.
