Too busy doing the bump and grind to realize his office hit the ground.

Mistress: Lots of money on gifts and dates
Cellphone: $100 + $40 monthly fee
Morning taken to schtup the mistress: Free

Not knowing that your office was destroyed when two of the most famous buildings in the world were toppled when terrorists flew passenger jets into them and having your wife find out about your little affair: Priceless.

Reality is someone was probably off having an affair at that time, there were enough people employed at the time that it is possible. if they were out of the office the could get away with it because their SO wouldnt be as much worried about where the other was as just that they are alive.
