This protest is just getting started. Provincial governments and members of parliament are starting to turn up the heat as well.
a gun owner in my town sent in his registration application for [b]1 rifle[/b]. He received 5 different registration certificates and stickers (the rifle doesn't have a serial #,thus a sticker with a # was issued) with [b]5 different numbers[/b]. All for the same rifle. So..now the CFC and police think he owns 5 rifles. What happens if down the road the police have reason to check his 5 rifles or if he has a break and enter and his rifle is stolen. Now he is under the microscope because he is missing not 1 rifle but 5 according to their records!! this just gets better and better!!! |

How well guarded are the Liberal Leaders of Canada? Perhaps they should be "Held" for a short period of time. Meanwhile the Canadian Charter (Or whatever is their equivalent to our Constitution) should be tattoed on their forheads (possibly backwards)!

I am really starting to believe this gun registration fiasco is going to self destruct. It is getting more media coverage now then it did when it was bulldozed through parliament. I think people are finally starting to say WTF?? The politicians tell us.."we don't have anymore money for healthcare,roads,tax reductions..oh here is another 74 mill for you guys at the CFC!!!" If it isn't dead in the water before the elections it will be a big campaign ticket. |

[/size=5] Not mine. My guns were lost in a more conventional manner. Ya see... I was hiking on the slopes of Mt. Kilauea with a satchel chock full of every weapon I own. Suddenly, out of nowhere, the Phoenix bird of legend swooped down and grabbed my satchel. Well...seeing how many freakin guns I own, the satchel was simply too heavy, and the Phoenix was forced to drop my guns. Unfortunately, they landed right in the volcano caldera, and were incinerated instantly. Sorry about the boring story. Your boat stories sound more fascinating. |

All that I can think of is the story of how the Canuks in Afganistan didn't get their food rations because the gov't didn't have the funds to feed them & had to trade stuff like a pooper pumper truck to the US military for food. If this happened 200 years ago, the PM would be swinging from a rope or hanging from his heels in the town square.
