I now own the lightest production .38 Special and .22lr revolvers ever produced AFAIK.
Picked up last week, S&W 317-2, 8 shot 22lr, I added the Crimson Trace grips (undecided if I will keep them or not), and she weighs a healthy 10.2 ounces according to my food scale.
On the bottom is my S&W 342PD in .38 Special, which I just picked up from my dealer's house. Took me about three months to locate one of these that wasn't over $1000. This one is a fatty, clocking in at 11 ounces. The specs from Smith & Wesson say it should only weigh 10.8 ounces. Perhaps my scale weighs slightly heavy?
I am considering replacing the front sight with an XS Big Dot.
I would like to find some OD green lightweight grips. Any recommendations? Rubber or wood is fine.
ETA: I was wrong, the guy below me pointed out the NAA revolver as being a lighter 22lr
