[Last Edit: SWIRE]
For those that were familiar with my ammo app I was able to get it up and running again. Walmart apparently had blocked the IP of my hosted site. So it is running on a different host.
Thread on my previous app for those of you aren't familiar with it. https://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1478725__ARCHIVED_THREAD____Walmart_In_Stock_Ammo_App.html&page=1 The link to the new site for those who already have a profile. http://arfcomammo.azurewebsites.net/WM_ByStore.aspx For those that need to register a profile http://arfcomammo.azurewebsites.net/WM_ByStore.aspx?code=arfcom Once your profile is setup you can access the main page with http://arfcomammo.azurewebsites.net/WM_ByStore.aspx Keep the number of store IDs at 5 or less. Also make sure to check at least one caliber box or you the app will give you an unhelpful error message. There is no warranty implied with this product and no guarantee on how long it will stay up. |

Mr SWIRE, does the M855 block pick up the ZQI SS109 62 grain in the green box?
My Walmart may have another 50 boxes inbound. If it does not, no worries...I will use the updates in the M855 availability thread. UPDATE: I just checked and the 50 boxes are no longer on order...none at their distribution point. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBzJGckMYO4 |

Swire, First off "THANKS A MILLION" for your app. It has scored me gobs of .22 long rifle. If I may ask how come the XQI 5.56 does not show up on your app? The same stores come up with stock on your nightly reports but not on the app. Would be nice to get the REAL time benifits of the app.
Thanks Again, RangerT |

If you swing by that evening, ask politely @ the ammo counter if it's still manned. If it's not, often a polite word to Customer Service will produce an assistant manager who has no dealings w/ the local neckbeards. If not giving it away @ a gun show, try your local Appleseed or Boy Scout troop. Amusingly w/ the M855 scare, the ONLY .223" ammo my local 5 stores have in stock is M855. Almost everything else is sold out. Wish I had $500 to throw @ a case of ZQI. View Quote A case of ZQI (40 boxes, 1200 rds) is only $398.80+tax. |

Swire - does your app currently find the 30rd boxes of SS109? I stopped by the Wallyworld near me and snagged a box of SS109. I have the UPC and item # if that helps.

Struck out tonight on .22" LR. App showed bulk @ 3 WalMarts. The first two denied they had any, even going through the motions of checking the cage, while the 3rd one went from in stock to none.

My walmart had a ton of ZQI yesterday (shelf full and more outback) of both 5.56 and 7.62 which I took advantage of...
Also scored 3 boxes of Winchester 555's 22lr..... Ammo app was spot on.... |

2550 of .22" LR, thanks to SWIRE. The 5th WalMart in 3 days, and the first clerk that went back to the ammo cage and was actually able to find the .22" LR in stock. Came out w/ 10,000 rounds on the cart, so I got both boxes of the Winchester 1K & a box of Federal 550s. My brother was pleased.
ETA: Sold out completely of .22" LR 2 hours later. |

Went to the local Wal-Mart where the app said the Federal 550 bulk packs were in stock. Ammo counter guy says we don't have any. I say app says you do could you go look please? Comes back and says manager says it's not for sale until tomorrow. I ask to speak to said manager, she comes out with an assistant manager from produce as backup. I ask why she is refusing to sell ammo she has in stock. (I was very polite and never raised my voice, but did speak in a matter of fact tone). She says they reserve the right to decide when to stock their shelves. I explain that the neckbeards have figured out the 7:00 A.M. stocking times and I have to actually go to work at that time instead of stand in line for ammo. She assures me that it will be set out at random times throughout the day tomorrow with a one box limit. I say ok fine as long as it's random I can take my chances tomorrow like everyone else.
Next day I check the ammo app at 10:38 A.M. all sold out. See my buddy after work and he was saying, " Did you hear Wal-Mart had a bunch of .22 ammo bulk packs in stock?" I say, "Yeah, I tried to buy some last night and they refused to sell them to me." I asked, "What time and how many did they put out?" He said, "They put out a whole case at 7:00 A.M. just like they always do if they have it!" I was so pissed I couldn't see straight! I said, "That lying bitch!" Why would she straight up lie about it? I am finally starting to believe Wal-Mart employees are in on the game at least at our local Wal-Mart. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I have not seen 22lr in the walmart nearest me since 2012. According to your app since I have been using it the last few months, they apparently never get any. The store on the other side of town usually shows some in stock, but there's never any to be seen when I am there and if I can find an employee to ask they just say there isn't any.

View Quote I just bought 2500 rounds out of 10K @ an area WalMart. The app was dead on. The clerk assured me it wasn't in stock, but I got him to run the stock number on his gun, which showed him that his inventory said he had 2 of the 1000 rnd Winchester boxes. He spent 30 minutes digging through his cage, and brought out those 2, and 2 cases of Federal 550s. That was my 5th WalMart in 2 days across 3 counties, where assistant managers denied it was in stock, and then I watched the next day as the app went to availability unknown, and then out of stock. In the past I had luck w/ the night managers - now I think you may be better off w/ the afternoon/evening sporting goods' clerk. |

FYI, for anyone wanting updates. I'm in the middle of production migration of a project that has been going on for a year and a half. So I haven't been doing anything technical or responding to IMs for the last week and probably won't through next week which is when the project will either be done or fails. |

Does this show historical data, so you can monitor stock over say the past month in order to show when shipments came in etc?

Either the app isn't working or the 4 different Walmarts I visited today spread out over 200 miles are all conspiring against me? The 4 separate walmarts all showed a different brand of .22LR ammo in stock. When I walked into each store on the way to my parents house, every employee told me they were out of stock. I asked "how long since you've had any in stock?" Every person said a few days to a week. What gives?!
ETA: I went to these stores over a period of 4hrs from about 1100-1500 today and 3 of the 4 stores still show the ammo in stock. |

Last Monday my GF and I went into one to get one thing only to find some Winchester hyper velocity so we got that instead since they limit you to 3 boxes total. That was the first time I've ever seen any .22 at that store. Never showed on the app, though not sure if it's even setup to do so. Argh... The apps (SWIRE's and Walmart) show CCI Minimags all over the place for the first time in years, and the story I got from one store was that the shipment was cancelled and they haven't cleared the inventory from the system. They know it shows in stock and checked in back just to be sure. Either they were blowing smoke up my butt or they were being truthful. I didn't bother escalating it beyond Sporting Goods.
At least the apps are in agreement! |

We just got a load of Federal Target bulk across several stores. Sadly, not subsonic.

The person stocking the sleeves told me they didn't have any and that I had to come back after 7:00. I asked to talk to a manager. He checked in one spot and didn't find any. I told him that it was showing on their website so he offered to check a couple of other places. He came back with a full box of Minimags after a little while. I bought my 3 box limit and thanked him. Now if only the other stores in the area would let me purchase before 7:00 so I could get some more on my way into work. I am sure it will all be gone shortly after 7:00. |
