A bat colony has been found in an aging dormitory complex that is home to hundreds of basic training recruits, the Air Force said Sunday.

Around 900 recruits continue to live in the dorm complex with the bats sleeping within the walls.

Bat sightings in the 45-year-old Peterson Training Complex this month prompted the Air Force to start vaccinating 205 recruits against the rabies virus more than a week ago.

I'm surprised that facility is still standing.  I've looked on Google Earth and several other 1000-man dorms facilities like that one have been torn down and replaced with a new style building.

Damn, the USAF is dedicated to mission, I'll give them that.  Even their base vermin are flight-capable.

"Second to None" is my alma mater, yo. 322 TRS (Screaming Chickens)

If you were 321st, that should be "Lead, Follow, or Get out of the Way!"

I was 322, but back then we were known as "Mother Russia"...probably cause they kept the bays down to about 60F at night
