We caught a few of these that came up in our chum off the coast of Key West, being from GA I don't know shit about Saltwater fish down here and none of the guides seemed to have anything. I thought it might have been a type of Porgie but it doesn't quite match up.

Chub. No good for eat, bait.
Put a big split shot on about 6' from your hook, use a 1/0 short shank Mustad and tip with a pennent flag piece of cut squid. Get it down past the scavengers, should be some Snapper below. |

Looks like a "thunder perch" (halfmoon perch) we have out here in Ca..
They are nibblers and bait stealers but hit hard like a yellowtail (amberjack out there) and that's where they get the nickname "thunder perch" Cat food... |
