GE, Walmart, AT&T, Google Among Center for American Progress Donors

On Friday, the Obama- and Clinton-allied Center for American Progress finally revealed its long-sought corporate donor list after heavy pressure arising from CAP’s quasi-lobbying history. That scrutiny ratcheted up following the announcement that CAP founder John Podesta would be formally joining the Obama administration.

Incredibly, its 2013 donor list contains a myriad of massive corporations, including Apple Inc., AT&T, Bank of America, BMW of North America, Citigroup, Coca-Cola, Discovery, GE, Facebook, Google, Goldman Sachs, PepsiCo, PG&E, the Motion Picture Association of America, Samsung, Time Warner Inc., T-Mobile, Toyota, Visa, Walmart and Wells Fargo.

The revelation that huge corporations have been footing the bill for the CAP shatters the myth that major corporations are right-wing repositories.

Wow the Left has aligned themselves with a who's who of major corporations  and a whole lot of who's who of major corporations acting the in worst interest of the country and the consumers that support them.

Newsflash: Corporations donate funds to causes on both sides. It's all about the bottom line and greasing palms to open doors to more revenue.

You do realize that large corporations spread and hedge political contributions all over the spectrum ... right? They want to make sure they don't have enemies on either side of the aisle.

I always roll my eyes when someone says "but XYZ Corp. gave $87,000 to Obama's campaign!"

Yeah, go look at the Romney campaign numbers - they'll show up there with a comparable number, like clockwork.

Or, as corporations often do, they are hedging their bets....they donate to both politicians in a contest (barring it being an anticipated blow out...then the presumptive winner gets all the donations)....
