Shopping for health insurance went to healthcare.gov
$432 a Month for family of four $12,700 Medical deductible!!! I would be out of pocket $17,884 with deductible and premium for insurance to begin. I called the 1-800 to ask if I went to my local doctor for the common cold and he charged me $100. Would I have to pay the full amount? He put me on hold for 15 min. only to come back and ask me which plan was I looking at. WTF! View Quote EAT IT SUCKA,, YOU VOTED FOR THIS SHIT!! |

They are getting what they deserve. View Quote Unfortunately, so are the rest of us. I bought a $3k/$3k deduct/OOP gold PPO plan, it cost $824/month just for me. Luckily, my ex got the kids on her plan with a large employer contribution, which should las though 2014 anyway.. Next year will get much worse as all these companies that opted out are going to have to deal with it. And, they'll mostly just dump everybody into the Exchanges. |

They are getting what they deserve. Unfortunately, so are the rest of us. Yep. My premium goes up 65% next year. An increase I can't afford. I'll be damned before I pay into their Commie-ass exchanges. So I guess the IRS will be after me. It's getting to the point where I might as well not work. I'm already losing a third of my pay to deductions. With the insurance increase my take home will be half of what I make. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

My mother in law is all for Obama Care, because it helps people with pre-existing conditions. She does have some health issues born with a heart defect. Same as my wife.
Anyway, anytime I bring up all the issues they are having with the Obamacare I get shot down as a republican lunatic. She's still covered under my father in law's plan through work, but I have a feeling they'll be dropped to the curb next year. Can't wait till what she voted for affects her. |

My new BCBS plan went up.
I liked my old plan but fucktard thinks it's not good enough. I'm soooo glad I carry maternity coverage on my health insurance as a single, young male. Fuck Obama. |

The whole pay the tax thing only works for the first year. It doubles every year you "elect" to pay the fine up to a little over $1,000 per year.
Medication expenses are fun. Heard a story this morning of a guy getting $700 a month for disability and was paying $250 per month for his medication two months ago, it is now over $1,200 per month. |

Now you can see why people 18-24 are not breaking down the doors by this medical insurance, and why there taking the penalty instead.

Just got my first paycheck with our new insurance at work . . . up $280/mo

I was in a similar situation with an Obama loving acquaintance that I've been arguing with over the years. The schadenfreude that I was experiencing almost brought me to orgasm. It was glorious. |

Which causes the collapse of the system and conversion into a single payer system. It's by design I know quite a few 18-34 y/o kids, because I volunteer at the HS, they are now in college, I got into some rather lively conversations on FB regarding the ACA. The problem is that these kids have never gotten a paycheck, and they don't even know what FICA is., bu they will get a lesson sn economics areal quick. |

Obamacare is like throwing an inconel bowling ball into the gears of the economy.

Seems like a good monthly rate for 4 people. My single plan is over $300 for just me, and I'm 36 years old.
The deductible is kinda |

My wife and kids will have to get on the state exchange. They got booted off their $400 a month plan because it didn't meet the standards. I have no idea how much this shit is going to cost yet. I would love to tell them to shove it and go without, but my kids are accident prone, my son has asthma and my wife has a family history of breast / ovarion cancer.

View Quote I would laugh too but eventually this is going to hit us all Edit: And for those that are thinking of just paying the "$95" fine, it is actually based on a percentage of your gross income. I believe it may only be 1% so you make $50k it's fine of $500. So you will not only pay the fine but then start off $18,384 in the hole before insurance pays a penny. So in this instance 35% of your pre-tax dollars is gone PRIOR to using any insurance. |

View Quote I suspect that you know that the "refund" idea is a scam anyway. It means that someone had too much tax withheld. People gave the feds a free loan. Adjust your withholding so you have a pay a small amount on April 15th and get your "refund" in each paycheck. |

This from yesterdays Telegraph about dangerous GP offices in Great Britian ground zero for socialized single payer medicine.
In case any of your lib friends suggest that a single payer system is the ticket, send them this link: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/nhs/10512382/Dangerous-GP-surgeries-are-named-and-shamed.html |

"Let's put the government in charge of school!" "Waahhhhhhh our children are stupid!" "Let's put the government in charge of airport safety!" "Wahhhhhh, the TSA sucks" "Let's put the government in charge of the banks! "Wahhhhhhh, the banks are still ripping us off!" "Let's put the government in charge of healthcare! "Wahhhhh I can't afford it!" Anyone who doesn't see this trend, and continues to push for further government involvement, is a flat out stupid asshole and deserves whatever misery they reap. It would be nice to see them suffer without taking the rest of us along for the ride though. |

He's not clear on the concept of co-payments, but the high deductible is pretty frightening.
