Just heard on the radio the dumbass Superintendents in San Francisco are proposing a $.02 per ounce tax on all sugary drinks.  That's right, $.02 per OUNCE.

Why not? I go up there once or twice a year to see the Giants or grab a bite.

It's without a doubt the coolest city I've ever been to. All kinds of shit to see, great food, lots to offer.

I'd never live there, but it is a fun place to visit.

Because the people that run that place are complete fucking retards.  And since the are voted in, so are the residents.  I refuse to contribute anything to such stupidity.

The only way not to contribute to stupid people is to live in a hole you dug with your own hands.

And probably not even then. I'd venture a guess that somewhere in your lineage existed a complete idiot without whose procreation you wouldn't exist.

I have no problem taxing sugary drinks and sweets.

I see no other way of getting millions of people to pay something for the health care they are going to expect others to supply later in life when their poor diet catches up with them.

They should be allowed to buy it in whatever size they want, however. Bloomturd is a little man with a Napoleon complex.

It only becomes an acceptable practice when tax dollars are applied to healthcare.

The solution is less government.

Meh, the precursors to pop are so heavily subsidized WITH tax money that I find it hard to care. It does seem ridiculous that we have to subsidize something just so we can tax it later. Government logic I guess

Why would you even want to support a city economically, that doesn't support your freedoms as guaranteed by the Constitution? Put your money where your mouth and heart is.

Fuck CA, the only time I'll spend a dime there is to support gun shops or anything else that CA is hostile to. And that goes for any other hostile 2A forsaken town/state.

Yes, I do. It's even in salad dressing.

I look at it as a use tax and I have no problem with paying just such a tax if the money goes to health care. Otherwise it would only be a small deterrent to a bad diet and of little value.

San Francisco is bloated with middle managers who can be deleted from the payroll.  Feinswine was among the first politicians who expanded government there.
