I've been looking for a replacement for my discontinued Fenix L1T V2.0 for a while. I ordered a JetBeam PA10XML after a suggestion here and I'm not happy. My L1T came in at 3.7 inches; this is half an inch longer, which makes a difference in my pocket. The JetBeam has a bunch of settings, too, which aren't intuitive for me. Every time I pull it out of my pocket I flash an SOS strobe or something else I don't need. I want a bright, 3.7 inch light, anti-roll with a high and low setting, activated by turning the bezel, and that I can use for momentary on without it going disco on me. Essentially a brighter L1T. What's good?

ETA: Also, single AA. Regular AAs.

I've got a Streamlight Microstream - it takes a regular AAA and it's only on/off (with a rubber clickie on the rear), but it's almost exactly 3.5" long, is decently bright, and its pocket-clip is firmly attached and keeps it from skittering away across a desk. Maybe if you go up a size Streamlight will have something with the features you need?
