Finally seen some .40cal appear at Walmart but most of the LGS's have ammo, just priced too high for my blood.

I placed an order for 500 rounds of .40 yesterday for $140. It's out there, you just have to look.

pretty much everytime I walk into an academy lately the shelf behind the customer service counter is full of everything but .22 and the shelves in the gun section are full up with ARs.

Panic is over but ammo shortage and over pricing is still going strong.
 I want decent quality plinking .223 and 7.62x39 and not pay over $250 a case including shipping or tax. I may be waiting forever on that.
